No, he is only 17 but has his own promotion, he said on Breakfast club that he isn't signing with any promoter, he said he has gotten many offers, but wants to stay independent. The kid is pretty smart, he is like the opposite of Gervonta Tank Davis, he might be the youngest millionaire in boxing he knows the business already and has a good head on his shoulders he is just a baby but once that man strength comes in he will be a force for real he has skills and range just needs more pop.

It's very weird. Roger did train Agbeko at Mayweather gym for a Top Rank card. But Top Rank was going all in on him.

His purse was 3k for Saturday. Gervontaa is 20 and in luxury cars. Signing to be Floyd's heir apparent isn't ******.

He actually seems very mature and focused for his age, I mis judged him initially.

Smart Kid wanting to stay independent. Likely will just do a fight to fight deal with each promotion but yeah he shouldn't commit this early and get himself into a contract he can't get out of

Hope this is a sign of things to come with young promising guys not signing long term deals with promoters. Wonder what the effect would be on promoters if that become a reality on a larger scale?

And nice to see Haney getting some mainstream press already.
