look at a guy like pedraza. he would pay millions to switch places with verdejo and leave haymon and dibella. he has accomplished way more than verdejo but hasn't been given any push or promotion from his mgr or promoter. he can walk down the streets in San Juan and no one knows who he is. i guess that is why he said he wants to be free from them but why would haymon and dibella want to give him his release and a better opportunity some where else?
You're preaching to the choir on the current shortcomings of PBC. I'm just of the opinion they can alter their trajectory by learning from their mistakes & my assumption would be you believe they can't.

And as for Pedraza specifically I hadn't heard that all that reached the level of him asking for his release from DiBella & Haymon. I just assumed he had some issues with how things are currently going. I would assume he's trapped with his promoter deal with DiBella so that isn't happening, but in the past Haymon has seemed okay with letting guys go (Dirrell & Lucas) without any drama so I'm surprised to learn that isn't the case here if this is all correct.

IDK about Dirrell but he didn't let lucas go. Lucas' short term deal was up and he simply resigned his promotional contract with gbp

I don't think its that simple. Obviously neither of us know the extent of Haymon's adviser deal with Lucas, but by no means do I believe it was only for a year & a half (May '13-Jan '15). So either Haymon let him out of his contract or Lucas signed a promotional deal with GBP with or without (from Oscar's story it sounds like without is the case) Haymon's approval & Haymon's still getting his cut even if Lucas no longer has a true adviser relationship with him. Based on Dirrell's remarks when he left Haymon to sign with 50 Cent I'll assume the former is more likely although I guess its plausible Haymon still was a adviser for Dirrell that may or may not have taken his cut with him too.

i read from mario arano, lucas promoter in argentina and manager, that haymon forced them to sign on with him if they wanted the danny garcia fight and it was on a 3fight contract that also included molina and expired with ortiz. he simply didn't resign with haymon.
