The former "#1" is a drug cheat who took an prohibited IV prior to their fight. If you can't do it clean, then it doesn't count.

There's a lot of less desrved lineal champ. Eg Floyd at SWW, back to back MW champs, Stevenson etc. When it's 1 vs 2 in the division, the winner is lineal
