That's your opinion. A lot of people hold Ward in high regards. He's the P4P #1 in the entire sport. People still watch him in person or on TV.

I don't hate on Ward. But no way would I call him "P4P #1 in the entire sport" after going 4 years without a meaningful fight... unless, of course, I was riding him like a rodeo show.

I agree. Ward is a top talent, but he can't sell tickets. He is his own worst enemy. Injuries, sitting out 2 years because he didn't like his promoter, etc.

At least Golovkin has proven that an incessant marketing push on TV actually will help a fighter grow an audience, regardless of whom they're actually fighting.

Would you expect anything less from the network he's under contract with? Maybe if ward hadn't bit the hand that fed him (twice). He might have actually remained relevant over the last 4 years.
