Doe all you need is common sense. Ward never made any effort to make the fight happen. That's fact.

He made a last minute offer just recently, not one or two years ago. THAT'S FACT. And he made it when the Lemieux fight was already in the midst of being promoted. Meaning, he made it just to save face.

Where was he after the Monroe fight? Or when Team GG was looking desperately for fights? He's blowing up smoke.

You clowns should stop saying fight could have happened. The offer was only made RECENTLY. Funny part is the offer had ****** conditions aside from the 50/50. Like he needs 3 tuneups first and the fight is supposed to happen a year or so later. This is unprecedented. Nowhere in boxing history can you find a fighter offering someone a fight when he's already fighting someone else. What if he loses?

These ****** pre-offers are exclusively Ward. The guy has become a clown and a huge joke.
That's the sad part. There are people in this world that are too fanatical they can't think straight.

Fight could not have happened yet because Ward only made the offer October of last year, to be specific. Ward wasn't even talking about fighting 3G ASAP. He needs undetermined amounts of tuneup fights first. He was hinting late this year. Don't know why they keep saying the fight could have happened when Ward never made any attempt to make the fight happen on numerous occassions last year and the previous one.

Kids will say the darnedest things doe.

regardless of which way you look at it... its a shame. He should have stripped the ginger and that is my opinion on that subject. Maybe he would have lost the biggest pay day but it is what is, you get anyone in the ring with you unless they are willing.

Yep. And he wouldn't lose the fight because Canelo ain't making 154 for ever. Take the belt and let them build it up. Looks like they are treading carefully because they want that big payday ASAP.

I only believe this in the case of Rigo. Because he just makes everyone look bad no matter what. Also he has such a small following. It really gives the guys an excuse to not fight him.

November 19th. Ward moved up and signed a contract to fight the scariest guy in the sport immediately.

Light heavyweights Sergey Kovalev and Andre Ward, should they win their upcoming fights, have a deal in place to meet Nov. 19 on HBO PPV.

Meanwhile Golovkin is still on his knees begging for guys that have never weighed heavier than 155 lbs. to come up to 160 to fight him.

If you don't respect Ward for not only moving up after Golovkin ducked him, but also signing to fight the biggest challenge in his career, then you are not much of a boxing fan.

But wait, I'm talking to MDPopescu here, Golovkin's personal jizz sock. Go on with your day f*ggot.

Ward is a huge joke. Just compare him with these guys.

Ikeabuchi making a comeback after 17 years of layoff. And he wants no tuneup.

Ike "The President" Ibeabuchi turns 43 this coming February and has been out of the ring for 17 years. Yet the way his handlers are talking, the intention is to

Lennox Lewis, "If I'd ever un-retire, I'd go right after the champ."

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis (42-2-1, 32KOs) has been happily away from the ring since 2003, when he stopped Vitali Klitschko in the sixt

Marquez wants to go straight to a Cotto fight:

I mean, is Andre Ward the only guy who needs tuneup fights first before diving into real fights?

I get it. You hate Ward and love GGG. So **** off.

The reason Golovkin fought Lemieux instead is because he wanted easy money for an easy fight. Golovkin doesn't want to challenge himself. He's a coward.
Whether or not GGG would have beaten Ward it would have undeniably been a far tougher fight - and less lucrative - than fighting the WBC champ (Cotto or Canelo) for whom he was a mandarory. He opted for the easier, better paid fight - only in the world of boxing forums does this make a man a coward. Furthermore taking the Ward fight would almost certainly have negated his MW mando status and ruled out the biggest payday available to him whereas aiming to fight for the MW lineage now still left open the possibility of moving up to fight Ward or any other top SMW later. Sensible rather than cowardly I would have said, but then maybe thats just me.

That said, with hindsight it's looking increasingly likely that fighting Ward may have been the better option - certainly it's a far more interesting fight IMO, but to call a guy cowardly for letting his promoter make what at the time seemed to be the smart choice is just silly.

true... doesn't mean Canelo will fight him anyways even when he is a full fledged middleweight.
