nope. GGG didn't ask ward to go down to 161, 164 lbs is halfway. also, canelo holds the MW belt, as in middleweight. the division GGG fights. GGG doesn't hold any belt at 168, 167, 166, 165, 164, 163, 162 or 161 lbs

There's degrees of bad. CW for no title, who cares. Did anyone cry about Ward vs Smith at 172? Cws for titles are worse, but not as bad as champs asking for CWs to defend their belts. That's a recent disgraceful trend. What makes it even worse with Canelo is he's lineal, he's asking for a CW vs mando, lowest possible CW (both unprecedented) while weighing more than the challenger fight night lol

Real ****. I disapprove of both.

164 was a coward duck move.

155 is a coward duck move.

Let's see if my fellow boxing fans agree.

Agreed 172lbs is a coward duck move and having someone come down 8lbs for you is a coward duck move.

168 is a coward move. 172 is OK for a non title fight. That happens all the time.

It's beyond hypocritical for the Triple Duck to ask Ward for a 164lb catchweight in one breath only to turn around and refuse to fight Alvarez @ 155lbs. Anyone who would justify this type of hypocrisy only proves themselves to be a fanboi and nut guzzler...
It's called negotiations. His side is going to say no to the catchweight as much as they can, but in the end if Alvarez wanted the fight to be at 154.33lbs he would get it.

But you just said 164lbs for a non title fight was a duck move but 172lb isn't?

Not disagreeing with you, just trying to see what you mean by that.

I never said 164 for a non title fight. 164 with Ward's lineal and alphabet titles is a coward move.
