If haymon has no problem with negotiating with HBO then why not throw jacobs in with GGG? I mean he only fought one round against quillin

What is Laras best win at 160 to secure a fight?

The only real obstacle, now at least, is what k2 sad a long time ago, and Lara manager confirmed. K2 didn't believe Lara was worth the fee, the fight itself wasn't gonna generate enough money to cover it.

Lara doesn't want to call K2 because they hope GGG will need to overpay him. With no title, and him being a 154 fighter, there isn't much to gain but pleasing some haters who will just claim Lara was too small when GGG KO him.

Lara needs to come to 160, build a potential fight, and take a reasonable purse. K2 wouldn't hesitate to take him on if it benefited them.

If HBO is offering $4 for fight and the fighters have a combined purse of $6 it's up to the promoter to come up with that extra $2. How do you think all of these other fights happen that aren't on TV?
No, but promoters pay the fighters based on what HBO is gonna ge willing to pay.

Both Jacobs and Lara have publicly said they'd need to get paid. Neither wants to call k2 because they want to be paid.

Jacobs could be trying to force a mandatory situation, but is content not too.

GGG last fought last fought October 17th, 2015. The Wade fight was just announced a week or so ago.

GGG has had several lengthy gaps where he had no opponent and no mandatory, and was "searching" for opponents outside his mandatory yet names like Lara and Jacobs, who just happens to be the #2 MW, were never mentioned.

            Please stop repeating these lies
First, after Lemieux they were waiting for Cotto/Canelo, by the time that was taken care of they started looking, it was Jan. They had known about their mandatory the whole time.

IBF said only a unification fight would supersede the mandatory.

Are you serious, they repeatedly said they'd like Jacobs.

The problem with Jacobs and Lara is their fee is too high for what they bring.

Lara wants GGG to call them, because they want to rack up the high purse. Lara and Jacob have no title GGG needs, so they are not worth paying $6 million that Jacobs wants.

Canelo drove those numbers, Lara's last fight bombed.

GGG v. Lara cannot even be confirmed PPV. Which is why the financials don't work unless Lara either takes less or builds his name up.

Other than a few hardcore who some strange reason think the guy Angulo drooped twice is gonna challenge GGG, Lara does bring much.

I wasn't the Lara fight, but only after he comes to 160. No ****ing excuses.

And all the fighters you named have been fighting same quality guys GGG fights.

First off, the top 20 guys in each division are not bums. There are gatekeepers, contenders, former champs, named, elites, but no bums.

Out of, what, hundreds, thousands of MW in the world, the top 20 are the best in the world. No bums.

GGG gas beat some really decent fighters.

Angulo was decent right, he did well against Lara. Kirkland KO'd Angulo. Ishida took Kirklands 0, KO'd him in 3. GGG KO'd Ishida in 3. It doesn't prove anything, but shows you that none of these guys are bums.

Rubio, Murray, Macklin, Geale, Lemieux, Ouma, Proksa, these all were not bums. Some better than others, but none were bums.

Only casuals use such terms about the best in the world.

What GGG doesn't have is elite names, not for the lack of trying.

He was going to work with him after he fired Schaefer until Haymon bought out his fighters because he didn't want them locked into a promotions deal with an unstable crackhead who makes bad business decisions. Arum is just a hater who can't deal with Al because Al gets the best of him. Arum had no problem working with King because they both had the same goal. Rob the fighters. They only had to work out who would steal the most from the fighters.

I agree. Bob Arum has been the instigator, and often sole participant, in most/all of these "cold wars".

The cold war with GBP started for no other reason than it gave Arum the ability to gain tighter control over the management (manipulation) of Pacquiao's career, and an excuse to stage much more profitable in-house fights.
