On December 19th, BJS made it abundantly clear that he wanted no parts of GGG for the next 18 months. He put video's up saying this and gave interviews. There should've been ZERO temptation for Team GGG to pursue a fight with BJS in the first place. Why, you and your ilk refuse to acknowledge this fact is beyond me.

If BJS publically states he doesn't want to fight GGG, why not go after the #2 MW in Jacobs when you know BJS doesn't want to fight?

GGG's mandatory wasn't mentioned until Team GGG already had ample time to attempt to make a Jacobs fight.

Dude, THE IBF WAS NOT ENFORCING THEIR MANDO! Idk if you're misinformed or just making excuses for GGG. Yes, now that he satisfies his IBF mando, he'll be free in the fall, and possibly early next year, to fight anyone he chooses, but I doubt the IBF would've stood in the way of a GGG-canelo fight by enforcing their mando in the fall.

the IBF mando being due was no mystery to anyone, except maybe you. Saunders is a unification, Jacobs is not. Had he fought Jacobs he would have been stripped of the IBF title. Im really cant figure out why this is so hard for you to understand, but I'll make you a little chart to help you along:

To not be stripped of the IBF title, GGGs options were the following:

Canelo (unification)
Saunders (unification)
Johnson (mando)
Wade (after Johnson withdrew)

Fights that would result in being stripped of the IBF title:

Jacobs
Lara
Quillin
Lee
Ndam
(insert any other name you want here)

you seem to really be struggling with this, but it really isnt that difficult. There has been a mando due since before GGG even won the belt from Lemieux. Dont you remember after Lemieux beat Ndam that Oscar said they couldnt fight GGG because Lemieux had a mando due, and everyone called BS on oscar because GGG would be a unification and that trumps a mando. The point is that the mando has been due, and is STILL due. If GGG fights ANYONE other than a unification fight, or the mandatory challenger, he WILL be stripped by the IBF. It has nothing to do with who he fights in the fall, it has to do with who he fights on April 23.

Jacobs ultimately will be his WBA mando, but its the IBF mando thats due now not the WBA......
