GGG last fought last fought October 17th, 2015. The Wade fight was just announced a week or so ago.

GGG has had several lengthy gaps where he had no opponent and no mandatory, and was "searching" for opponents outside his mandatory yet names like Lara and Jacobs, who just happens to be the #2 MW, were never mentioned.

The 'lengthy gap' in between it becoming clear that Canelo and BJS were unavailable, TJ injuring himself and another mando (Wade) being named was about 2 weeks. Just sayin.

And yes I do agree that GGG should be pursuing a top JMW like Lara or possibly Andrade in the absence of a decent MW, but can understand wanting to fulfil his title obligations. My own preference would be for GGG to start campaigning at 168 but with the possibility of the Canelo unification still remaining at 160 (or a CW) can't really blame him for waiting around.

Look at Ward's HBO deal. He HAS to fight Kovalev so there was incentive for him to challenge himself or else he would still be fighting on BET.

GGG has no such incentive. He can fight stumblebums and get the full support of everyone.

If and when GGG gets all four belts, you'll be forced to go through him to make any money in the division.

There is no incentive for anyone with a network deal. It's bad enough they block tough fights. Now, with guys like GGG, they block fights/ do not approve opponents where he likely can't get a KO win.
