You got to remember, a lot of these posters got into boxing based off of Mayweather/Pacquiao. That's all they know. The saga is the basis for their posting existence.
Now that Mayweather/Pacquiao is over, they are mentally trained to hate everything Mayweather related. This includes (but is not limited to):
1. Al Haymon
2. Showtime
3. Defense
4. Movement
5. "Slick" fighters (you know what that is code for)
6. The MGM Grand
7. Cinco De Mayo fight weekend
8. Canelo, Guerrero, Ortiz, Berto (All of his non-Pac opponents)
9. PBC
10. All TMT fighters

Ehh, no mas. It's been a waste of a discussion. We're essentially talking about 2 different things right now. My original comment/point (Oscar and Haymon directly working together) and his replies don't fully integrate together.
Hopefully we witness a day when some posters on here just admit they were wrong. Not even admit they were wrong but move on and deal with the reality of today.
The past should be a lesson. No, Showtime Boxing hasn't collapsed under the weight of that Mayweather/GBP deal. On the contrary, they're as good as they've been in decades.
Yes, Mayweather beat Pacquiao and the saga is over. The best fighter of the generation is Floyd, not Manny.
And no, PBC won't be folding in the next few months.
Here we have a guy in Haymon who isn't a camera whore; telling one lie today and another tomorrow. One who, whether for his own gain or not, has brought boxing back to a much larger audience than the sport has seen in eons. And is willing to put his ego aside to secure the best deal for his fighter, even if it's to the benefit of his competitor. So now these posters remain pigheaded. If past history is a harbinger, we can already begin preparing for their next excuse.
