Ward also cleaned out his division. Thats a fact. And you don't know why he wanted out with Goosen, and we don't really know what is going on with him. Sure he frustrates me, but the guy could rest on his laurels and still have accomplished quite a bit.

When he fought in that tournament most of the fighters were considered very strong and capable, also when he fought Dawson he was, i believe, the underdog in that fight.

When Mayweather did his thing, he waited til the top guys came up...he didn't fight the guys like Paul Williams and Margarito, and hey, I am not critisizing him...When jones came up he didn't fight Michael Nunn, Toney did...and Darius was avoided...Ward entered a field where all commers were present. he didn't win the tournament he dominated it.
Ward didn't clean out his division, as a matter of fact.

He refused to fight the IBF champion Lucien Bute, who was undefeated and one of the top dogs at 168 back then.

yup because using Kovalev's names generates more fans and more $.
Kovalev doesn't have any fans, that's why he always fights in people's backyards.

Ward isn't a coward. Ward simply doesn't fight anybody as of lately. He only talks about fighting.

Never a top dog really. He beat a punch drunk Joppy and Edison Miranda and Glen Johnson a very workman like fighter but, really...Degale, Pascal and Froch, all harbingers of the next level all beat him he was never a threat to Ward.

You don't step to the #1 guy in a division in your first fight at that weight.

And when Ward takes the fight with Kov, you'll talk more shite about him.
True on all points. And yeah, the bold is inevitable, that's the formula, just like solving any math equation. The way critics solve a fighter they don't like, doing something they said he wouldn't do, is by continuing the parade with some other BS. It will be, 'he won't fight him', then 'he won't stand toe to toe', finally: 'he won by clinching, running'.

Bute was seen as a real threat to Ward after the super 6. And despite being offered big money to fight him, Ward refused to do it.

Bute was favourite to beat Froch, even in the UK. Only one other SMW would have been favourite to beat The Cobra in his own backyard, and that was Andre Ward.

You can't say Ward cleaned out SMW when there was an undefeated world champion calling him out and being ignored.
