I think the fight will have to happen, but Ward will make it as difficult as possible. This guy may be the most delusional boxer on the planet (which is saying a lot). How the hell has the Barrera fight not been signed yet? What else could he possibly want? Let's hope he doesn't have any more "minor knee swelling" again. I'm starting to think that Ward's heart just really isn't in boxing. During the Kovalev-Pascal fight he wouldn't even give a straight answer about fighting Barrera, let alone Kovalev. It must be really hard to be a fan of this guy.

I pretty sure he not gonna fight him, you hear kovalev saying he hopes and basically being nice to ward to not scare him into hiding. Truth is their is no actual contract that states after Ward's 2 tuneups he will be facing Kovalev.

What we know of Ward is he is very talented but lacks in the balls departments, when his career was left to him he chose every easy fight possible, he even sued his promoter to get out of his contract cause Dan Goosen wanted him to face bute etc and ward didnt want to.

Look....when you have an opinion is all well and good. You can call Ward anything you want but when you start sentences with "what we know" it shows that your opinion is essentially ****. Anybody who cannot make a distinction between knowledge and their own idiocy is an idiot.

Ward also cleaned out his division. Thats a fact. And you don't know why he wanted out with Goosen, and we don't really know what is going on with him. Sure he frustrates me, but the guy could rest on his laurels and still have accomplished quite a bit.

When he fought in that tournament most of the fighters were considered very strong and capable, also when he fought Dawson he was, i believe, the underdog in that fight.

When Mayweather did his thing, he waited til the top guys came up...he didn't fight the guys like Paul Williams and Margarito, and hey, I am not critisizing him...When jones came up he didn't fight Michael Nunn, Toney did...and Darius was avoided...Ward entered a field where all commers were present. he didn't win the tournament he dominated it.
