It boils down to this not being a big enough fight for the networks to get together and try to split the pie. It's just not.

Kovalev has been making lots of noise but still isn't a mainstream star and Stevenson hasn't done anything of note since he left HBO and has been completely irrelevant. The only time his name is even mentioned is if kovalevs name is brought up.

This fight is barely a Ppv worthy fight let alone a Ppv fight that warrants 2 major networks to get together for.

At the end of the day it's Stevenson who loses. Kov has a mega fight scheduled for later this year vs Ward so long as everything goes according to plan. Who does Stevenson have lined up??

If Stevenson wanted the fight, he would've made it in 2014 when he was supposed to. Instead he chose to run and hide behind Al Haymon.
Kovalev got all the "big fights" that Stevenson was supposedly running away for.

Now it's split the PPV. If Main Events gave in to that demand, then team chicken**** would find another demand to get out of the fight.

i dont care who gets mad..i'm sticking to saying these networks should work togehter..business relationships are just as strong as contracts when you are loyal, and we dont not know if showtime has options on haymon fighters bc they keep their side on hush

but im a proponent of these teams working together bc it betters boxing overall not only for that fight, but for tomorrow as well

it was nearly 20 years (OR WAS IT MORE) since they worked together before the floydpac fight..
this fight would make it 1 year since they worked together...THAT IS A HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT
