It looks like Stevenson's people were trying to compromise. Instead of taking the guarantee they preferred to forego that in order to have Showtime be a part of the PPV.

And their idea of having the fight take place in Canada is a good one. Kovalev doesn't draw but with Stevenson they could probably fill one of the bigger arenas like the Bell Centre.
