That's not that surprising. What's worse is Stevenson doesn't sell tickets either and he's from Montreal, one of the most lucrative markets for boxing . you got washed up fringe contenders like Bute and Pascal outselling him easily. Helps to have some respect with the local fans and not be a punchline

no it is not ******ed..pbc would freely promote the event on all of their networks..and also showtime would run it before/after their smash hits like shameless/billions/homeland
anytime showtime and hbo works together they overdue themselves..undrstand if it is hbo's job alone to promote only their subscribers see it..and w/e tv ads they take out..THAT DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE

how anyone can be against the powerhouse working together and call themselves a fan is beyond me...it took them nearly 15 years to work together after tysonlewis...they just worked together last year..if we get them to do so again that means it took them 1 year this time! It won't happen not because we don't want it...us the boxing public....it's the corporate side and the money making side won't do it...there's not enough money in the pot...it's a fact ...I know in an ideal world we want to see it....but unfortunately we have seen many fights go down the pan because of rival networks and fighters to tied to them....we could have seen broner vs pacquaio recently but it was blown away and that's a bigger fight than kovalev Stevenson....sorry pal I know you have good intentions but it won't work because the fight is not a big PPV event

Lemieux only got 1.5 mil and golovkin 2.5 mil...it's was one network and it done 150k ...kovalev vs Stevenson will probably do the same if two networks do it it maxes out at 200k. not it is not laughable..it split-able...the total revenue is not about how high the number is..it is about how much you make back on your investment..
hbo was said to be giving both guys 2 million..they have to pay the cable company as well....that is all splitable and u dont have to pay for extra promotion and commerical time out of your own pocket...
they just failed with GGG.. kovalev is much less of a star..they lower their risk if they partner up..that makes lots of sense
