Boxing ****ing sucks nowadays. HBO sucks, PBC sucks - it all sucks. The schedule this year is pathetic. The UFC enforces contenders to fight one another on a regular basis; that is unheard of in this era of marinating and cherrypicking.

mma fighters will start coming to boxing in droves, in hopes of making a career as a bum/club fighter, because that's where the money is.

And with PBC comes a new era, it's basically the UFC of boxing on PED's. (No offense Manny)
      LMAO

You have no idea what your talking about...

Just check UFC ratings on foxsport1 kill PBC ratings on major networks like nbc and CBS

Boxing has slowly killed off its appeal.. how many legit stars to they have-Canelo and thats about it..
80s- tyson, leonard, hagler, hearns, camacho, duran, chavez, whitaker, mancini, holmes
90s- evander, bowe, oscar, roy, tito, shane, prince, pernell, chavez
      00s- morales, oscar, barrera, cotto,
      10s- floyd manny
      now- Canelo

notice a trend of depleting star power

Even second rate mma promotions get better ratings and can sellout venues.. Boxing cards can't even get 5k in PAID attendance unless its a major fight..

To think boxing is in great shape is laughable.. Now that floyd is gone, and canelo-cotto already happened, boxing literally has no true super fights that can draw serious money/ratings/etc

If boxing was in such great shape, why does it have to pay to be on network tv, and network tv is giving UFC hundred million a year

Canelo/GGG, Fury/Wilder, and Maidana/Thurman are all super fights to be had in the next two years. Boxing is thriving.

outside of canelo/ggg-- none will be ppv...

Literally boxing has gone from a dozen guys that could carry a ppv, down to half a dozen, then down to just 2 (floyd manny) and now down to 1 (canelo)

Golovkin has a chance but he is so old that i think his ceiling will be the level of hopkins.. But him in with a big name and it will draw money, but will always be the B-side in major fights

Again, the same old argument that nobody ever wins because there is no real answer. It seems pointless to explain but some people need to understand the basis of both games.

Boxing in itself is one fighting style, and as a sport it focuses on just that one of the martial arts. The use of the knuckle part of the hand to land blows on an opponent from the waist up. Even though within that boundary and that limit there is an amazing depth to styles and tactics etc, it is still just a sport consisting of the one martial art.

MMA/UFC is the total opposite, obviously. Grapples, submissions, elbows, punches, knees, kicks, throws etc...All allowed because of the name Mixed Martial Arts, again - obvious I know. As a sport it allows for a blend of martial arts, a guy who relies on Judo can fight a guy who relies on kickboxing. A guy who is a strong grappler can fight a guy who relies on karate...

When you describe both sports in that way it really does make sense why it is ****** to compare them both. They are different games consisting of totally different approaches, rules, histories etc etc. Comparing two different combat sports is literally like arguing about why Baseball is a better sport than Tennis because they both involve hitting a ball. They are different games and it just depends what you prefer.
