Respectfully, if that is the definition of 'racism' being taught in that school system, then those children are being done a MASSIVE injustice by the adults in their lives. Because that definition is both historically incomplete and woefully reductive.

No, its not racism in the historical sense that I am discussing, that is a different subject which is laid out in history books and taught in varying degrees, such as institutional racism.......what is of immediate concern in society now is racism in the current, dynamic sense, social racism that used to be called other things like prejudice and is now the label of a wider range such as nationalism to the point of despising others, creed, color, and even in some cases sexual preference.

You can't separate "society as a whole" and reference the early days of "Colored Belts" and just assume that racism in boxing or in general american sports is not present. easy answer ask yourself how many black fighters are in the sport compared to white fighters? there's your answer
racism permeates throughout ALL sectors of society
law, religion, entertainment(SPORTS), education, labor, sex, war and economics so since "america" is the EPICENTER of that, then its only logic to come to that understandin'
