Its a joke really. Boxing is the most disorganized sport in the world and its not even close, too many ****s in the circle jerk.

Wonder how little of this purse Kovalev will get? You have people talking about the family type of atmosphere over at Main Events. Not sure if it is Duva or Kov's manager, but somebody is screwing him royally as far as the percentage of his fight purses that he actually gets. That isn't very family like.

Should have happened twice. Stevenson's should have fought him in 2014 before jumping to Showtime and Kovalev should have fought him this year before re-upping with HBO. Now it will never happen. So be it.

Stevenson's loss really. Kovalev fought Hopkins in 2014, Pascal in 2015, and is set to face Pascal and Ward in 2016. When all is set and done that should be 4 fights vs. top-3 contenders in 3 years. Not too shabby.

I mean really who cares anymore to see this fight? This fight was supposedly multiple times and still nothing has come of it.

If this fight happens it should be announced the day the contract is signed then the promoters can talk about how it is finalized and done.

Stevenson and Kovalev are at two different points in their careers. One is considered a top 10 may 5 boxer in the world is taking out elite fighters in their division. While the other has seen his star/popularity fade quickly into the night.

Both should just move on and concentrate on fights that can be realistically be made. For Example:

Kovalev: Andre Ward, Jean Pascal, Sullivan Barrera, Slava
Stevenson: Alvarez, Fonfara, Beterbiev
