Yup...without a doubt the two most ardent, crazy personality cults in boxing are the cult of Roy and the *****s! Put extra butter on mine bra.

They both fought second rate opponents. Floyd was in better more talented divisions at the end of his career. Roy fought everyone but Darius M...

Roy was just more entertaining in his prime...Floyd at 130 was fantastic also but he got boring when he moved up.

And you can probably throw out Roy's last 10 fights against bums of the month since he started getting Ko'ed

RJJ won titles at MW, SMW, LHW, and HW, and holds wins over Hopkins and Toney.

            "On paper" it's Floyd.

But Floyd's accomplishments "on paper" look a lot better than they actually are.

IMO you can't go wrong picking either but if I had to pick I'd lean on Floyd.

Corrales and Hatton are probably Floyd's best wins, imo.

Canelo was not yet the fighter he is today and by making him come in at 152, he fcked up Canelo's head and now we're having problems getting GGG/Canelo.

              Thanks Floyd

Floyd. Roy took such a sharp dip in terms of production its amazing. Seeing him get beat by bums now won't ever take away from the memories of his fights on PPV but it sucks to know that all of that happened to him. Mayweather altered his style as he got older and slowed down. Roy hasn't had an elite W in like what???? A decade? An ending to a career is just as important as an end.

How can you look at the numbers and honestly say that?
name me a fighter floyd beat that was as good as prime james toney?

hell name me a fighter that floyd beat that was as good as pre prime hopkins?

that's what matters. who you beat and when you beat him.

not who made the most money and who got the most belts in an era where belts are ubiquitous and dont carry the same meaning due to having many boxing orgs with their multiple belts to get sanc fees off fighters.

Everybody fights second rate opponents lol , from the Ray Robinsons fighting around 100 bums to GGG not fighting a single elite fighter thus far , everybody fights soft touches .

Break a resume down to weight and timing of each fight in regard to the immediate prior form of the opponent going in , Floyds resume is outstanding .

Roys Jones was a beast for a period of time and then lost it all , Floyd was also a beast for a period of time and he adapted to the bigger divisions and fought the top guys and kept winning .
