Make a fight with a boxer inactive with a contract dispute. Yeah right LOL
When inactive fighter returns from dispute "164 doe" "Not a draw doe" Direct quote: "Ward too much for me doe"Comment

Did you promote Golovkin? Did you get a cut from his last fight? I seem to have forgotten. Or did you start a new promotional company I'm unaware of? One slap productions? Was that it?Comment

oh, how clever. You made a funny.
Typical. When you have no clue what you are talking about, deflect with an insult.

Right and it was a disappointment. Trying to say otherwise is evidence that you have no credibility on the topic and that includes your "20 years."Comment

I guess that why we needed him to fight Ward, to see if that was the case. The weight difference and the talent/skill difference would force GGG to utilize more skills than he needs to beat the string of huge underdogs he has defeated.
I would think his fans would want to see that more than another easy KO. No one is denying GGG's talent and skill, just want to see him use them against better comp.
The clowns know EXACTLY what would happen.
TBH, Golovkin would be nuts to get in the ring with Ward.
What I can't figure out, is why Mr 97k isn't cutting off one of his fingers to fight Canelo AND Cotto..... even Lara, just to shut the critics up.
It makes 0 sense, that this supposed killer, won't do whatever he has to do to get Canelo/Cotto in the ring with him.
Not only are most insiders questioning Golovkins resume/ability, but the best fighter on the planet publicly stated that Golovkin is all hype.
I can understand avoiding Ward, he is a bad boy and a stylistic nightmare.....
..... but why avoid the little guys ?Comment

Promoters share and trainers share are paid by fighters from their purses.i dont think it made moeny and you do. The fact that we are having this debate shows it bombed but keep up the cool story...bro. Yay they made 1.5 cause from what ive read gate was 2mil. Oh and im so glad all the other fighters on the card fought for free. Trainers all free. They were just so glad to be a part of the ggg card.
AND IF YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT THE ESPINOZA THING THEN PLEASE NEVER MENTION THAT EXECUTIVES CAME OUT AND SAID ANYTHING
I don't know if they made money or not and frankly I don't care but I severely doubt that the card in total was a losing proposition.
Even if in your hater fantasy world, HBO lost $1 million putting that PPV on, remember that's not even going to be a true loss because when HBO or SHO puts on regular cards, all the money spent on the fight is "lost" so to speak.
That is to say, they're not making anything back when they air a regular card on the network -- they're merely trying to provide exciting matchups to their subscribers so that the subscribers continue to subscribing to the channel.
Since the average Golovkin card costs HBO probably about $1 million minimum, a PPV that loses $1 million is a wash.
Don't you worry about HBO's pocketbook though, they're doing quite alright with Golovkin.
The fact that seemingly every 4th thread on this website involves him in some way, be it directly or indirectly, suggests they must be doing something right. I like Jacobs a lot but to even suggest that he's on the same level of TV or gate drawing power is ludicrous. The only reason his purses even come close to Golovkin's is because his manager is deliberately overpaying him (and everyone else) as part of a larger market stratagem to gain "league-like" control of the sport.Comment

eh, imo Ward would be a hard fight to win not because GGG is bad but Ward will likely outpoint him. That fight to me always felt a little shady with some fans that wanted him to fight Ward because all they really wanted was Ward to school him so they could say see he was a bum, over hyped, never good!!!I guess that why we needed him to fight Ward, to see if that was the case. The weight difference and the talent/skill difference would force GGG to utilize more skills than he needs to beat the string of huge underdogs he has defeated.
I would think his fans would want to see that more than another easy KO. No one is denying GGG's talent and skill, just want to see him use them against better comp.Comment
