who claims it wasnt disappointing? I know Loeffler was hoping for 200k, so OF COURSE 150k is "disappointing".

But that wasnt the argument. The argument was that it lost money, and that clearly is not true.

So now instead of claiming it lost money, when that gets disproven with simple MATH, now you switch to "it was disappointing".

I don't know if they made money or not and frankly I don't care but I severely doubt that the card in total was a losing proposition.

Even if in your hater fantasy world, HBO lost $1 million putting that PPV on, remember that's not even going to be a true loss because when HBO or SHO puts on regular cards, all the money spent on the fight is "lost" so to speak.

That is to say, they're not making anything back when they air a regular card on the network -- they're merely trying to provide exciting matchups to their subscribers so that the subscribers continue to subscribing to the channel.

Since the average Golovkin card costs HBO probably about $1 million minimum, a PPV that loses $1 million is a wash.

Don't you worry about HBO's pocketbook though, they're doing quite alright with Golovkin.

The fact that seemingly every 4th thread on this website involves him in some way, be it directly or indirectly, suggests they must be doing something right. I like Jacobs a lot but to even suggest that he's on the same level of TV or gate drawing power is ludicrous. The only reason his purses even come close to Golovkin's is because his manager is deliberately overpaying him (and everyone else) as part of a larger market stratagem to gain "league-like" control of the sport.

I know, right? These idiots do so much promoting for K2 I almost feel K2 should break them off a taste every now and then lol

I DONT WORRY ABOUT HBO POCKETBOOK, I LEAVE THAT TO YOU GUYS.

And yes every other thread is about GGG but not in a good way. Its usually why isnt fighting this guy? What excuse will his fans drop now? And of course its always "GGG will KO him quick and they will be called bums so why" or "why are they calling out GGG? Hes with HBO" or "They all talk cause Haymon wont allow it". Its always an excuse but the way you boys spin it is a thing of nuthugging beauty.

GGG is popular, not as popular as you boys think, but he is. I just want to see him fight some top comp and to do that it costs money. So im not a hater but im not swinging from them nuts like you either

Show where I said it lost money? That's another lie from you. I said it was a disappointment That's the basis for me claiming that you have no credibility. You lie.

Speaking of math and numbers you were in another thread claiming Mayweather was the same size as all of his opponents other than Canelo with justa 3-4 pound difference

I can drop imaginary numbers too and use math to make it look like it lost money but ill leave that to you and your 20 years of exp.

Not even the industry writers believe the 150K number.

This is a boxing website to discuss what's going on in the world of boxing. Believing there is something unusually special about Golovkin or K2 because they're among the topics in here shows your ******ity.

The "lost money" claim was made by your twin brother Fetta, which is what I replied to. But then you had to stick your snout into the conversation, because we both know any post with words over 1 syllable is beyond Fettas comprehension. So great, you tried to be Capt SavaHoe.

And as for Floyd?? Dude wouldnt even fight Canelo without a catchweight, and that was in a division he won titles in twice before. LOL

So how many ducked GG so far if Jacobs avoids Golovkin? There's Sturm, Martinez, Ndam, Cotto, Canelo, then Ward had one full year to make the fight. He did nothing.

I'd feel ****** if I start hating GG. I can't even blame and hate the guys who ducked him. It's their bodies. What can we do?
