If he wants to talk about making a comeback he shouldn't be calling out a middleweight, he should be looking to fight someone at 175. I don't need a fanboy to explain boxing to me. I look at boxing from a fan's perspective, not a manager's perspective. The bottom line is all the great fighters move up in weight, but Froch never did. He needs to call out Kovalev or stfu and stay retired.
Or he could fight Golovkin, the easier fight for more money, and not worry about what someone on Boxing Scene Dot Com's message boards think of his career moves.

People doesn't knock Froch for not moving up because:

        1. He gives an exciting fight.
        2. He can fight at home or away.
        3. Ever since that Super 6, I cannot recall him fighting bum-level opponents.
        4. There were plenty of interesting fights at 168lbs up to his last fight.

Froch literally fought everyone at 168.

If he comes out of retirement, he'll want to be worth it.

Kovalev isn't as big a fight as Golovkin and he'd be giving up huge advantages.

Because Froch is smart enough to know Kovalev would beat him.

Because he had a long, hard career and deserves to retire or come back to fight whoever he wants. He also spent most his career not even weighing 175 on fight night, so moving up to that weight class would never have been particularly smart for weight reasons alone. Froch was a guy who belonged at super middleweight.

I would also never wish the terrible, terrible beating Kovalev would give him on Froch.

If Froch stayed active I would have fancied him for beating Ward in a rematch.
                No chance

Ward is better than Froch in virtually every department and the result would be the same if they fought 10 times

Some people seem to be forget that their fight was barely competitive and that Ward made Froch look nothing more than a crude, slow slugger

Im not trying to defend Lil G, because I think he should move up to fight Ward or Froch, but I don't understand why this double standard exists for Froch. People say Ward should move up, Lil G should move up, but Froch gets away with staying at the same weight. Kovalev-Froch would be a great fight don't you guys think?
Why do you call him Lil G, you ****** jackass? His named is GGG. What is with your idiotic obsession with fighters moving up to a weight class they don't belong in and don't want to be in? Pryor never moved up. Monzon and Hagler never moved up. Why should Froch or GGG have to do something these all time greats never did? They are comfortable at the weight they are at. Are you so far behind on your boxing knowledge that you don't know Ward has moved to 175 and says he will never return to 168? If you are going to trash good champions then at least know what the hell you are talking about. GGG can't fight Ward unless he goes to 175 now. You complain about Froch trying to fight the smaller GGG but that is exactly what Ward said he wanted to do. The same Ward who was glad to challenge Mayweather to fight him at a top weight of 160 pounds but would not go below 168 to fight GGG. Your hero Ward is a hypocrite with a double standard. He will gladly go to 160 to fight Mayweather but he won't go below 168 to fight GGG. What's up with that??????
