i think he is saying just that... i.e. the words you use paint a picture like Canelo is this top commedity and GGG is at his mercy and has very little value.
The bottom line as you said Canelo is more popular than GGG and has more leverage but i think you are mistaken in a sense that GGG doesn't need Canelo to become a super star... he will become one on his own if he keeps doing what he is doing it will just take him a bit longer. Just imagine anyone at 160 or lower would have to go through him when he has all the belts. He will be the guy to beat and with his style it will be an exciting fight almost guaranteed (plus how long can canelo stay at his 155 lbs weight class, as soon as he matures to 160 his mexican heritage and mexican fans will push him to make this fight). Will GGG ever become as rich and famous as floyd or Paquio... probably not but he will be one of the top talked about fighters of the sport during his era (if he isn't already) and that will increase his notoriety as well as $$$$ with or without canelo.Comment

This is about what I thought it would sell. This is actually a great number in terms of PPV sales as long as you don't try to compare it to the numbers of Mayweather's biggest fights. Unfortunately, that is what a lot of the clowns on this site will do.Comment

Glasers an MMA guy, you think he really has more inside connection than a life long boxing journalist in Rafael.

Have you met him before? You'll want to take a shower immediately following, that's how slimy he is. Everyone in the boxing industry say the same stuff about him - he's "shady", "slimy", "sketchy", etc. He is a boxing parasite like Michael Marley. Same type of guy. He has his own ties & agendas, making him incredibly biased (beyond being biased really). He wanted/wants Stephen Espinoza out which is why he always put negative stuff out regarding Floyd's numbers and won reasons for the others. He's a shill. A fraud. A phony. A hustler. But that's what you expect from a guy who idolizes Don King and learned from him, just not nearly as clever.
But hey, lets celebrate his "predictions". My favorite from Glaser wasn't a PPV number prediction though, it was a fight prediction which sums up his actual knowledge quite well:
“Pacquiao is just a little less shot than both Barrera and Erik Morales. Juan Diaz will go through him worse than a hot knife through butter. When it comes to boxing skills, physical strength and the sheer volume of scoring punches, Juan will destroy Pacquiao.”
Dino Duva had a good quote about Glaser too, "Some time after my call with Don King, a slimeball named Rick Glaser, who is not even a promoter and who causes most people to want to scrub themselves clean after being in his company, brought De La Rosa and his 'advisors' to Don King's office for De La Rosa to sign with DKP. Don King signed De La Rosa last week without even telling me. I found out from a very credible journalist whom Glaser called and gloated about screwing me and bringing James to Don. I've been trying to call Don ever since I found this out and he has been ducking my calls. As hard as it is to believe, this is a new low for Don! Sadly, this isn't a new low for Rick Glaser; it's business as usual."
