I'm just going along with it. Sure Mayweather-Berto did 396k, sure Canelo-Cotto did 650k, sure GGG-Lemiuex did 97k. Let's use Glaser then, i'm down. You wanna use Glaser, let's use Glaser
Or is there a different Glaser?
I can't keep up

Well obviously that model is going to drown boxing if it is done with guys who can't sell PPV's. I much rather have Al Haymon's way, PBC, putting GGG-Lemiuex caliber fights on Television and readily available via antenna and basic TV. I feel like the bad guy complaining about the PPV, and praising PBC. It's how some of the posters make you feel, when in fact what Haymon is doing putting cards of good caliber on basic TV and over the air channels is a great thing for the sport. That crap like GGG v Lemiuex on PPV, that's terrible for boxing, if you say otherwise I can't think of you as anything else but other than just a fan of one fighter. The fighters get paid, but nobody watches the fight (relatively nobody). If we are talking about HBO/Showtime don' have th budget to pay Canelo vs Cotto, and it has to be on PPV, obviously that's no issue, 100's of thousands of people will happily pay for those types of events. But as far as GGG vs Lemiuex and other crappy PPV's, it's not about who can afford it or who can't it's the principle of the subject. I'm a huge Floyd fan and did not purchase Mayweather vs Berto, I could afford it, I just didn't want to support it. It's not like i'm picking and choosing, I don't support any PPV mismatch, even those of my favorite fighters. I can be in a position where I can wipe my a$$ with an $100 dollar bill and I still wouldn't purchase any of these mismatches. That's a lame thing, to just buy things cause you can, that's plain.
I see, so just because YOU might not want to buy something, then it shouldnt be available to anyone else who might want to buy it? Perhaps a "free" country isnt the best place for you. Perhaps a place where all your options are decided by others, and you are not free to make your own choices might fit better with your philosophy.
I may think its ******ed for anyone to buy an Aventador for a half million bucks. But I certainly wouldnt advocate for them to be removed from the marketplace just because I wasn't interested. I also laugh at alot of the garbage people buy on itunes. But I dont want those choices removed for them either. The marketplace is ALWAYS the best judge.......

Wasn't it Glaser that reported the 97k for the Golovkin fight?

I'd actually forgotten about that. All these imaginary "investigations"...

there are two glazers. jay glazer is one of the more respected reporters in american sports. i generally have no idea who the other guy is outside of references on this website. but by all accounts he's been way off with ppv nnumbers.

But that's the same Glaser who's reporting all these other numbers.
Rick Glaser his name is, he reported 400k for Floyd-Berto, 650 k for Canelo-Cotto and 100 k for Golovkin-Lemieux.

yeah, that guy strikes me as a hack. i do know who you are talking about.
a lot of the "middle rung" of boxing media, if you even want to call them that, seem to have this vendetta against pay per view. no joke. it's almost like they're pissed that they have to pay for fights
i see them complaining constantly on social media, and always quick to discredit buys, the quality of the fights after they happen or before the card, etc.
odd look. i know it doens't pay well. i'll give them that
