    • Who cares about the numbers? None of us here share in the revenue anyway.
And I'm willing to bet most of you here don't even pay for ppvs.

Both GGG and Canelo PPVs features good fights that to me and most hardcore fans were worth the price of the ppv. What the f*** are we bickering for?

      • fat dan's "sources" are worthless, hes always wrong.

Glaser probably has the real numbers, theres a reason we havent heard them announced officially. DLH said he was thinking it did 1 million immediately after the fight but has made no statements since then. If it did close or better then they would have said something.

I could give a chit about the numbers. Im just tired of hearing fat dan's tweets on every boxing site after fights when he has about zero credibility. ESPN should trash him already.

GGG vs Lemiuex on PPV is the problem in boxing. And some fans saying it's okay is another issue. Fortunately actions speak louder than words and the few idiots saying GGG vs Lemiuex is worth PPV price translated into just that, a few idiots saying it's worth the PPV price. Just a few thousand, not 100 thousand, which is a relief. And HBO and promoters can look back at that ****** flop before pulling that **** again.

why is it a problem? Its actually the perfect type of fight for a mid-priced PPV. And Im not talking about what fighters were in it. Im speaking generally about the kind of fights where the network either doesnt have the budget, or doesnt have the interest in doing the fight. So either the fight never happens, or they take their chances and put it on ppv. The individual consumer makes their choice, instead of a network guy killing the fight.

Those that want to see it can buy it. If they cant afford it they can stream it. And if they dont give a **** one way or the other they can ignore it.

Im not sure why anyone would prefer fewer choices?

why would you repeat it? you still scared of golovkin for floyd ?
it's such an odd look to see grown men act this way.

floyd was a WW, and he's retired. there's no reason to contineuy yhte smear campaign, larrbear. stop lying

                golovkin sold 150k against lemieux.
                I'm confused.

Wasn't it Glaser that reported the 97k for the Golovkin fight?

Heres how you look at Glaser's numbers here on NSB...

If he gives a low ppv number to a fighter you dislike, then he's an industry insider with great sources and isnt a network stooge like Rafael or Iole.

If he gives a low ppv number to a fighter you like, then he's simply a hack, ex DKP flunkie who makes up numbers in his moms basement.

And some posters here even use both descriptions, depending which fight they are talking about lol

Mid price? It was a full blown PPV price at $60, wasn't it?

Well obviously that model is going to drown boxing if it is done with guys who can't sell PPV's. I much rather have Al Haymon's way, PBC, putting GGG-Lemiuex caliber fights on Television and readily available via antenna and basic TV. I feel like the bad guy complaining about the PPV, and praising PBC. It's how some of the posters make you feel, when in fact what Haymon is doing putting cards of good caliber on basic TV and over the air channels is a great thing for the sport. That crap like GGG v Lemiuex on PPV, that's terrible for boxing, if you say otherwise I can't think of you as anything else but other than just a fan of one fighter. The fighters get paid, but nobody watches the fight (relatively nobody). If we are talking about HBO/Showtime don' have th budget to pay Canelo vs Cotto, and it has to be on PPV, obviously that's no issue, 100's of thousands of people will happily pay for those types of events. But as far as GGG vs Lemiuex and other crappy PPV's, it's not about who can afford it or who can't it's the principle of the subject. I'm a huge Floyd fan and did not purchase Mayweather vs Berto, I could afford it, I just didn't want to support it. It's not like i'm picking and choosing, I don't support any PPV mismatch, even those of my favorite fighters. I can be in a position where I can wipe my a$$ with an $100 dollar bill and I still wouldn't purchase any of these mismatches. That's a lame thing, to just buy things cause you can, that's plain.

When that 97k came out, the same cheerleaders who were rejoicing at his tweets from the past 3 years of Floyd fights all of a sudden want to act rational and start questioning Glaser's credibility like wait a minute where he got that 97k from? Who's his source?

I'm just going along with it. Sure Mayweather-Berto did 396k, sure Canelo-Cotto did 650k, sure GGG-Lemiuex did 97k. Let's use Glaser then, i'm down. You wanna use Glaser, let's use Glaser
