You're not very bright, are you. Coming down for Floyd doesn't mean he won't be drained, but he has to make an exception cause that's Floyd's weight class and it's a once in a lifetime payday. Canelo's weight class is 160, so there's no excuse for 155.

Why should he fight for the 160 belt at 155? Coming down to 154 for a Floyd fight is not the same as Floyd's not holding a 160 belt and isn't even a natural jmw, let alone mw

Golovkin doesn't have to fight at 155 if he doesn't want to. He can turn down the opportunity and pick up the WBC belt once Canelo is forced to vacate.

But he is passing up a chance to get a win over a hugely popular fighter in front of more than a million viewers on PPV, along with the biggest purse available for him in all of boxing (now that Floyd is retired.) Why wouldn't he take the risk?

It's not like he wouldn't be favored to win over Canelo anyway. Even at 155.

honestly i dont care what the ggg fans say. canelo has every right to ask for a catch weight the same way ggg did for ward. canelo did it for mayweather i mean it is what it is. ggg can finally put his money where his mouth is and agree to 155 or he can say no get the title and still have no big wins. the balls in ggg corner hes not the one calling the shots against canelo. I mean i can see why ggg fans would get upset but the reality is canelo didnt even want to fight for the belt he will let it go and if ggg only cares about the belt hell get it but if he wants to fight canelo 155 it is.

Absolute bull****. GGG doesn´t have to drop one pound, if Canelo wont fight him at 160 the belt will just go to GGG. And then in 2017 Canelo will come to fight GGG at 160 as the challenger, getting far less of the split than he´d be getting right now. At this point GGG has more options than Canelo, like it or not. Unless of course WBC pull another rabbit out of their arses..

Chaos, again respectfully, you can't keep saying its draining him when GGG and his team said they could make the weight without issue.

Best you can argue is its a weight his team says he can make, but you would have to see if it affects him when they fight.

You can't just throw out what he and his team said about 154 relative to Floyd and act like it didn't happen.

I understand the point you are making, but I think instead of putting it on Canelo, you should be outing it on GGG. He said some things that may come back to haunt him at the negotiating table for the Canelo fight.

Exactly. Floyd is retired and Manny is semi-retired. Canelo is the new face, the biggest star in boxing. So if GGG was willing to go to 54 for the old face. 55 for the new face shouldn't be a problem.

lil g's team said before that he'd be comfortable at 154, just like they said he'd fight anyone from 154-168. Obviously his team is a bunch of liars and have been exposed as such. Just as when cotto dropped the belt, lil g's team and supporters started crying, if Canelo vacates lil g's ball washers will be crying again. Im sure he'll do worse than 97k his next fight, vs lee or johnson. Or they can watch him accept his vacated belt. Then he has no more excuses for not moving to 168, he unified...Then Canelo can come back and face the next middleweight champion and become a two time middleweight champion, he doesnt need to bow to someone who cant sell 100k in ppv when he sells a MILLION besides who is gonna face him on ppv next lee?
