It depends on how GGG wants to play it. He can have the WBC enforce the fight at the 160 limit since GGG is in fact his mandatory or strip Canelo and award GGG the title and be crowned "lineal".

GGG can also counter-offer and request a 157lb limit (which in my opinion) would be fair.

Either way Canelo is going to have to fight GGG with GGG weighing in at 160 or hand over that title. The WBC would look really biased if they were to go back on their word of stripping the winner of Cotto/Canelo if they refuse to face GGG .

I don't see how GGG can say no to this request.

He and his team often spoke about his ability to make 154 comfortably for the Floyd payday. Canelo is the biggest payday available now that Floyd has retired so if GGG can make 154 comfortably it stands to reason he can make 155 comfortably as well.

Added, (we have to wait for official numbers) Canelo may have done 5-8 times of ppv sales as GGG did.

with all due respect, Canelo is at the top now. Assuming Floyd stays retired and Manny fights only once more, Canelo is the top draw in the sport by a WIDE margin. NO he isn't gonna get you Floyd money right now.

I just do not understand why Chaos doesn't get this.

History shows us that those wanting a payday are made to make concessions. Now I know a lot of GGG fans think this is just about the title for GGG but its about the money.

If he wants the payday, 155. He can always say no and then take his chances. He has a HBO deal so its not like he will go broke.

GGG's fans are beyond delusional. They got their faces busted wide the f.uck open when his PPV flopped. And now they're still pretending this guy has leverage in negotiations because of the WBC mandatory nonsense. GGG is a complete nobody to anybody that isn't a hardcore fight fan. And until he, his team, and his fanbase completely accept that and conduct themselves accordingly. This guy is never gonna be anything more than what he is now. Virtually all of them to a man cosigned it when GGG and his team said he could make 154 comfortably. Now they are saying 155 would be draining him.

Had they at least considered that GGG couldn't make 154 in reality then they would have a point.
