Honestly 2015 was not as good as it should've been for GGG.

He can keep fighting at 155, but 160 and GGG will ALWAYS be looming there. Canelo is a big guy and once he can no longer make 155, he's got to bite the bullet and step up to Golovkin.

But you can't claim drainage before, especially if you agreed with GGG and his team that yes, he could make 154.
Your issue isn't with me, its with the honesty and integrity of GGG and his team.

The belt means nothing. I doubt Canelo even cares. If GGG wants to pay the sanctioning fee, go ahead.
Canelo will never get less in any scenario. He is the main player in the sport right now, especially if the Cotto fight did over 1 mil.
Taking all things into account ... A side versus being stripped the fight should be made at 157 or 158 (if both sides want it) and anybody arguing otherwise is just showing their bias.Last edited by Daddy T; 11-25-2015, 09:47 AM.

There aren't that many other big fights available for him tbh, nothing that would generate anything near a Golovkin fight anyway. If he does a Rid**** Bowe people will harp on about it for the rest of his career and since he has been building himself up as the guy that fights anybody ... well that just won't work anymore. Especially if he continues to fight at 155.

His fans are not going to leave him because he doesn't fight GGG. rather, they will tell Canelo to do to GGG what ODH did to Bhop and Floyd did to Canelo.
Remember, he isn't saying he will not fight GGG, he is just setting the parameters for the fight. GGG can choose to say no.
If he does, how can you blame Canelo for ducking him?
