Lol dam I see you got the Abraham/Murray excuses ready. You will need them.
Ward-GGG would have been at 168. Stop with this pathetic "two divisions" narrative.

Excuses? Did Abraham not go life n death with Paul Smith? Dirrel Froch and Ward ****ed all over his career about 5 years ago.

I want Murray to win to get the title out of Germany. It's sad that you'd be celebrating it as if GGG was beating Ward in there

Good on Mayweather. Not that he is retired, I hope that he takes the opportunity to twist the knife when it comes to fighters his naysayers are trying to hype. They deserve to be reminded of the standard they set in an attempt to tear him down.

Yeah especially HBO fighters, look how quick they gave Ward a contract at 175 just to make him "Unavailable to GGG" lol.

The sad thing is it is obvious that they will try and spin it as Ward ducking Golovkin a couple of years from now. Golovkin will move up to Super Middleweight and that twit Max Kellerman will disingenuously ask why Ward is no longer willing to fight Golovkin at 168lb.

I wasn't saying that the fight would be at anything other than 168. You can pretend if you like that Ward didn't fight at 172 in his last fight, and that he wasn't planning to fight at 175 this November. That isn't going to change the fact that no objective measurement would leave any reasonable person to conclude that he is still a super middleweight.

I would NOT be celebrating as though GGG was beating Ward out there. The only way to do that is to fight Ward, and I hope they do fight. That being said, I think it would make things more interesting if Murray beats Abraham. Interest and discussion in the GGG/Ward fight would go up, which would both be entertaining and hopefully also result in increased likelihood of the fight actually taking place.

I'm not in any way trying to suggest that this fight shouldn't take place, only pointing out the fact that GGG is a MW and that Ward is a LHW. It is reasonable to conclude from that fact that it's a big ask of GGG, which none of his haters want to admit.

Ward is only going up to LHW because GGG didn't want to fight him at 168.

Exactly. Amir Khan is constantly rinsed for waiting on a fight that was not going to happen, yet people expect Ward to delay his career over Mr 97k.

I see KFC Mayweather is back to his old chicken/ducking ways. What else is new.

I think we all know that Ward is a super middleweight, he was basically paid to move up because the pressure of GGG to fight him was enormous, and like you said it would be "Oh Ward moved up to duck GGG"

So if GGG beats Cotto/canelo, will he get his due respect from American fans?
