At least I don't get owned like this..........
Pac had no intention of moving to welter, he got an offer he couldnt refuse from a guy unranked at welter, who was dropping down in weight. 9 months prior Pac was at 130, with a single fight at 135 since. Pac won no title vs Dlh, Cotto was his first legit welter opponent
Otoh Floyd was a 2x champ at Sww prior to Canelo. Reigning champ as well, forget diamond belt, he won the wba belt from Cotto (per Floyd, undefeated since Pac was a cw lol), hence the Canelo unification. The fcuker has held a sww belt continuously since Cotto in 2012, with 0 defenses at regulation weightThanks for that link. Jeeze Cotto is such a weasel. Pac indeed didnt want to go above 147, then Cotto taunted him into offering 150:
WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto is counting the numbers on the check. Puerto Rico's biggest star told Raul Alzaga that his final decision, regarding his next opponent, will be determined by money. Cotto and members of his team are evaluating two possible scenarios - a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, or a rematch with Manny Pacquiao on June 9th - also in Las Vegas.
Then passed when offer came cause he didnt like CWs lol. Thats 1 year after demanding to defend his 154 belt at 150 vs one eyed noncontender Marg. And of course his MW campaign is all CWSo it's ok because another fighter imposed a CW on Martinez, Cotto can do it too? Lol. And he put a CW on Marg 2, demanded to defend his title at 150, with a 160 rehydration clause lol. So that's 2, same number that Pac imposed, but Pac only did it in his 7th and 8th division. Cotto in his 3rd and 4th, both vs disabled guys (one eye, one knee)
Questionable? Who isn't in boxing? If he was drained, Cotto must have been on EPO to run that marathon vs the midget.HeroBando.....
You have defended Pacquiao's catchweights on NUMEROUS occasions.....
And get this, what have we here, this excuse really interests me.....
So, when Pacquiao demanded a 145lb catchweight from Cotto for his WBO welterweight title..... you justified that catchweight demand by stating that "Pac had no intention of moving to welter"..... but now when Canelo makes a catchweight demand from Golovkin, you think that Canelo is a coward, despite Canelo publicly stating that he has no interest in middleweight?
And btw, Pac fought Clottey after Cotto..... and yet Canelo has stated that he is staying at 154/155 for the next two years.
AND..... you made the exact same excuse for Margarito at 150.....
It appears that jedi and that plunger ****tard were not the only silly casual fans who got shown up today.Comment

Once again, the one who is quick to call others '******', and 'loser' ....
I'd think if one were so superior they'd have far, far better things to do than bicker with so called 'losers' all day. Yet, you'll find time to respond to this post, and thousands of others that anger you because you're so smart and successful.
Try admitting you're a goob like every one of us who argues about this goofy stuff on here. The ones who take themselves seriously on a sports forum are the true losers.Comment

Still a true believer even after Ward's announcement yesterday are you? Note that Andre Ward inherited the "Golden Boy" Olympic gold medal winner blessing of fight fans and media (just like Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard) and all the benefits that it confers. Polar opposite GGG came from Kazakhstan, and has had to fight for everything he's achieved. Let's do this: Wait and watch how both GGG and Ward's careers play out. Presently GGG's career is on the ascent, and Ward has begun a decline that he will find quite difficult to reverse. Let's see what transpires over both the short run and the long run. As I see it, GGG's status and rep is growing and will continue to grow. As for Ward, the future is a crap shoot at best. And right now the emphasis is on crap.Comment

I hate being the one to deliver the news but GGG is going to be 34 when he fights his next opponent, the division is the weakest in boxing, and he's unwilling to fight in other weight classes. There's literally nothing he could do to surpass Ward's accomplishments. Andre could retire tomorrow and Golovkin will never equal what Ward has done already. It's not an opinion, it's just logic. So, consider the facts before shooting yourself in the foot.Still a true believer even after Ward's announcement yesterday are you? Like Ward did.
At this rate, I cant see Golovkin getting even close to Ward.
Put it this way......
When Wards career was at the same stage that Golovkin's career is at NOW, after having earned the opportunity to face his 4th world class opponent, this was the result..... 4-0.
Golovkin is at that stage NOW, this is the result..... 0.
Ward fought the world-class guys, but Golovkin is avoiding them.
Beating Hopkins record by demolishing cabbies will not get Golovkin even close to Ward.Comment

"Andre could retire tomorrow and Golovkin will never equal what Ward has done already." Okay, I'll clue you in; you've just admitted that if GGG's career continues on track that his ring accomplishments will surpass those of Andre Ward. Either that, or you are a seer. Are You?I hate being the one to deliver the news but GGG is going to be 34 when he fights his next opponent, the division is the weakest in boxing, and he's unwilling to fight in other weight classes.
