At least these guys actually fight @ LHW and have more name recognition than Ward's last & next opponent. Only Hopkins would be expensive.
Ward is clearly not using Kov as his gauge , u are .

I'm not saying he should've I'm saying it ultimately comes down to him whether or not he fights competition of quality, and for whatever reasons there may be, he's fighting another massively overmatched opponent.

Agnew isn't any better or worse than Brand from what I can see. So it's like....who cares? It's not as if people were going to be creaming had he chose Agnew.
Yeah, I corrected that about Simakov. I also acknowledged that Hopkins would be too expensive.

At least Agnew is an actual LHW & took Kovalev to 7. My point is from a marketing standpoint, it would be better for Ward to face and defeat some of the same guys that gave Kovalev some work. It also wouldn't hurt to actually have some competition before facing the champ. Instead, he's fighting underweight bums. Face it, he's playing it safe & then expects to catapult to a title fight with Kovalev. He's only hurting himself fighting these cans, as Kovalev is much above these guys. If Ward stays on this path, he will be ill prepared for Sergey and will get Krushed.

When I thought ward was fighting a guy called brand....I thought it was Russell Brand mind you he would probably give up a better show than Alexander come to think of it. Lol.... as for dirty jerk diggler...I've told him not to sully my country with his name ..

Since the ultimate goal is Kovalev, who is the champion, why would he not be Ward's gauge? Oh I see, because Ward thinks he's better. Andre may have second thoughts when he's marveling at the clever arrangement of the ring's lights...from the canvas.

Agnew lost to some bum recently I hear so I don't think it makes any difference.

Ward has a fight or two before Kovalev where I think he will have to step up his completion level. This is a special circumstance.
