    Lol

The fight is so ridiculous that the title includes a top referee to give the fight some legitmacy

Good luck to ward when fighting kovalev with tune ups like these

    Kovalev is number 1 p4p

Steve Willis was going to get the job but he rejected soon as he found out it was Ward fighting, my slick brutha wants to be entertained not lulled into a sleep by having to separate the clinch initiated by Ward 60 times per round.

Kenny Bayless lost that title of a top referee many years ago.

My my, how things come around in full circle.

Not long ago GGG fans were on the defensive using this same reasoning for why he was fighting WMJ.

Basically all fans are the same - they'll put up w/ the **** of fighters they like and call out fighters they don't like for those same things.

You're right, GGG isn't preparing for a Canelo fight or anything like that....oh wait

              100% agree.

If I told you to judge Ward's body of work in his last fight, there's no way anyone would actually tell me that he is P4P material based on it (probably because of his competition). The reason some are saying he's P4P is because of the "eye test" thinking that Ward right now could still perform like the proven elite fighter he was 4 years ago.

That's literally no different than the "eye test" made when people think GGG is a good fighter even if you stepped up his competition.

You know how people criticize GGG/Kovalev/Wlad/Gonzalez because they say that they only look good because they fight bums? Well you can apply the exact same thing to Ward. Because you can actually make the argument that Ward has only looked elite because he fought a "bum" in Smith (the same way people say GGG/Kovalev/Wlad/Gonzalez only looks good based on who they fights).

There's no indication whatsoever in present times that suggest he's the same fighter 3-4 years ago and it's absolute malpractice if you give him a status based on achievements/performance years ago that he has not proven at all that he could repeat.
If u not gonna base it off of resume's then there IS NO GUAGE AT ALL . It sounds like your saying that "your only as good as your last fight" . If that's the case then a win over Mohammadi is all Kovalev's worth right now . All we all know that's not true .

Wlad and Ward r my top two p4p for two reasons , their resume's , as Ward and Wlad cleaned out their divisions and 2) they both continue to fight the top guys , as Wlad (who already beat Povetkin) will fight Fury next and Wilder soon after and Ward will move up to Kov .

There is something between "only as good as your last fight" and whole resume, nice try doee.

I think whole resume is worth factoring in but recent few fights should be emphasized.

Ward's resume these past 4 years is mediocre at best.
