Agreed. Better give up the belt than risk being GGG-ed in the ring.

max kellerman was talking about a mayweather/cotto rematch on that fight game show on hbo a couple of weeks ago.

he said that the rematch would be sellable because cotto gave floyd a tough fight back in 2012.

        For sure..

Cotto rematch is viable because he gave floyd a tough fight, it's in a higher weight class, and cotto will be coming off the biggest win of his career if he beats canelo.. Cotto's stock would nevER be higher if he beats canelo

Canelo rematch would be viable because it will be at a higher weight, canelo could no longer be considered green, and he would be coming off a huge win vs cotto..

Either guy would bring the most money to floyd, if no manny rematch

Now Canelo fans are looking to WW to save him. LOL! Wow!

Floyd said it himself, he has no interest in fighting act to or Canelo again.

And they can't offer him a belt. Why would he.

If he wants money, Manny would do it.

            Your right.

Canelo's 175 actually weighs more than GGG 170.

But I'll help you, 170 is the same as 170.

Some fighters weighing 170 are stronger than others, but we don't have strength divisions,

            We have weight division,

            Canelo is scared.

Cenalo vs Rios/Bradley winning at 155, Cotto vs Rios/Bradley loser at 155 or hell if the fight is good Cotto vs Canelo 2
Or he could just work to get the mandatory. He is the man to beat at MW.

            Everyone knows it.

I can't wait until November 21. Certain people are going to get a harsh reality check about popularity, A-sides, and what it means to be a legit PPV draw.
And still the winner has to give up the strap and will look bad doing so.

Ring Mag said they won't allow the winner to keep the Lineal if they don't face GGG.

It would be a money fight, but if Floyd wants money, he'll go for manny.

Cotto and Canelo will have no belt or lineal title to offer him.

then Cotto retains his title, and has to fight GGG next or get stripped.

If it ended up a draw and was a good fight, odds are Cotto probably vacates the 160 title and rematches Canelo either in a non-title fight or for the vacant 154 title.

Question: If Canelo wins he has two options. GGG KO ing Canelo brutally, or Scaring him so much that he just hands the title to GGG. I say pick option 1, rather than being called a coward by your own people who take pride in the machismo way.Canelo running away adds to the GGG mystique without him even throwing a punch . GGG can still make good money just by having more brutal knockouts, and building up the KO percentage. People pay for knockouts. But I could be wrong.

That title is worthless, because Golovkin will still have a shht resume.

Ward will be #1 P4P in 12 months, no question..... because Golovkin can't do a thing about it unless he dares to be great and gets in with a real one
