There was never a serious discussion about the fight, just when asked K2 said, if Ward wants 50/50 he also has to meet us in the middle in terms of weight, since Ward was inactive and only fought on BET once in 3 years.

Roc Nation didnt even try to negotiate, they didnt send an offer /counter offer or contact K2 at all about this.

All they did was sent a hoax offer months later when GGG had a PPV lined up against Lemieux and after that was mandatory of Canelo Cotto.

Ward actually tried to block GGG from being able to fight for the WBC belt and openly lied to the public he didnt know about the Lemieux fight, even though it was on all kind of media outlets.

How can you support such a pathetic liar that obviously never wanted to face GGG?

The only fact is, during the HBO meeting some time ago, when both were asked, GGG said "I am ready to face Ward", while Ward said "Uuhh uuuh, no, my shoulder, bla bla bla"

All of today's top fighters are going by the same standards.

They are all trying to gain every advantage they can in the unregulated world of contemporary boxing.

They are all trying to gain a weight advantage over potential competitors whenever they can. Just like Pacquaio did -- for example. They either want to drain down a naturally larger opponent, or get a smaller guy to move up.

We would all do the same thing, unless we are fools. The problem is not the individual character or courage of Canelo, Cotto, Golovkin or Ward.

The problem is lack of oversight and accountability in boxing. Lack of meaningful titles. Lack of authority and principle.
