People keep saying stuff like this, but fail to realize or remember Haymon was the guy behind Mayweather going next level with his income & even getting some of the hot dog vendors profit at his fights. If you don't think Haymon is working more revenue streams or doing some outside the normal boxing power broker type **** I think you are underestimating the man. And I'm sure some of that "investor money" is his money to so its not like he's doing 2008 bank **** with other peoples money.

Part of me hopes this GBP/TR case moves forward enough to get a glimpse into exactly how Haymon is doing ****. I think a lot of people will be going "oooooooh THATS what he's doing" while his competitors will continue to try to steer things towards "its bad for the fighters", despite fighting being "overpaid" by most people's accounts, while trying to copycat his method moving forward. For full disclosure I'm rooting for this era of the all powerful promoter to end & I think Haymon holds the key to that. Might just switch over to the era of the all powerful manager/adviser, but at least fights would get made more often & fighters wouldn't be sitting for years due to promoter disputes.

All that money will be gone in 18 months to two years. Those fighters need to grab that cash before the well runs dry

You can keep talking about me or return to the subject. Should be an easy choice.
What am I deflecting from? Either you are using that word and it does not mean what you think it means....or your own attempt at deflection was poor.

My point is, your take on PBC seems highly biased. IIRC, you are another Floyd-stan. Just as the PBC haters are very biased vs anything that Haymon does. Two sides to a coin.

Anyhow, more boxing on non-premium channels is a good thing for the hardcore heads. We will watch and can be a bit more forgiving when a contest is more of a boxing match than a slug fest, than casuals are. I just wish the presentation wasn't so bland.

I think its nice to discover a fighter when they are not a big name and watch them grow and develop and earn bigger exposure.

SOme fans enjoy the journey, some only wake up when they reach their destination.

So you went with talking about me. Cool. I don't share the same interest in you so I'd rather not continue the convo. You can go on though if you'd like.

One of the reasons for the lawsuit is what exactly? Didn't read much clippings on it so share.

“In order to stifle legitimate promoters from competing against PBC, Haymon has obtained exclusivity commitments from broadcasters,” the lawsuit claims. “Between these predatory ‘payola’ payments and the expenses of promoting each televised match, Haymon and Waddell & Reed are operating at a significant short-term loss in the millions of dollars.”

In the lawsuit, it’s speculated that Haymon’s losses could exceed $200 million in PBC’s first 24 months of operation.

“This ‘loss leader’ strategy … has allowed Haymon to gain unfair advantage in the promoter market to the severe detriment of legitimate competitors like Top Rank,” according to the lawsuit.

Haymon and PBC officials declined to comment on the lawsuit.

Established boxing promoter Bob Arum and his company Top Rank Inc. on Wednesday announced a legal fistfight to test powerful boxing manager Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions operation.

I did read that. Chuckled, I recall. Let's see how it plays out. Certainly isn't stopping things right now but I'm not a lawyer.
