I'd hope that Lemieux is the real deal. And hopefully Golovkin still goes onto to give us some great fights.

Same thing if the other way around.

If he loses he loses. I mean seriously have we as boxing fans been so spoiled that we expect everyone to remain undefeated forever? A fighter is not defined by a single or several loses. In fact I think a fighter shows more resolve in bouncing back from a loss than at any other point of their career. Yeah it's nice to go undefeated and all that but that means you missed out on another narrative one people can relate to and that's being down and bouncing back from it.

If he loses, all of the haters will call Lemieux a bum to justify calling GGG a bum, despite the fact that every fighter in their career have had their moments.

Regardless, it wouldn't change my opinion on GGG. He is an entertaining fighter, and I think Lemieux is a good fighter as well who gets no credit. This generation is a joke, they've come to idolize that "0" that Mayweather has so much that they think a loss instantly tarnishes a fighters legacy.

If he loses it would mean he finally fought someone he should have. right?

I could see why his diehard fans would be upset.

I wouldn't care if GGG lost but personally it would be a disappointment because I think if GGG and Canelo both win, their fight would be massive and I always like when boxing is at the top of the sports landscape.

I was trying to get their take on the GGG-Lemiuex fight and they had no idea who either of them was, so I used the Apple Watch commercial to give them a little help and they didn't know that was aftually a pro boxer. In fact, a coworker turned the conversation into Ronda Rousey, he said "I'd **** the **** out of that UFC chick, Ronda Rousey" and a convo about how hot she is started. Lemiuex, forget it, that's a lost cause, if GGG is still unknow to Americans.
haha yeah that's how usually convo's start about rousey. But to be fair she comes out on movies and promoted exceptionally well. also the apple watch in which GGG was in. He really didn't say anything. They just had him shadow box in which a lot of people think he was just an actor

It would be warranted though since he hasn't fought anybody worth a damn and being crowned top 5 pfp

If GGG loses, it means David Lemieux is the new Golden Boy. In fact, if Canelo Alvarez wants to retain his Golden Boy status, he should be poking needles into a Lemieux voodoo doll this very minute making sure that David is crippled up and most certainly will be incapable of beating GGG.
