I agree. The haters want to use every excuse to keep GGG from getting those belts.

You don't punish the fighter, you let the middle guys pay for a service: tickets, ads, subscriptions, etc., put their skin in the game! This will be the end of the low quality PPV. GGG must show he can claim the "A-Side." GGG must "shine" under the bright lights! If GGG wants to "be the man," he has to show that "he is the man!"
Are you serious. Hardly any fights do that.

Talk about trying to move the goal post. I guess that's why your not a sport's commentator.

Do you even watch boxing? You know Cotto, Canelo most recent ppvs did 325k? You know Floyd never did 400k before Oscar, including 340k vs Gatti. Get a clue
Clueless is far too nice of a term.

I don't mind a spirited debate. But come on, guys like him just say stuff for the heck of it I think.

I said it here long ago: the PPV ballroom days are over. (Haymon saw it and he tries to detect an alternative).

... not to mention that this fight was so poorly promoted and hyped -- as, for instance, Golovkin struggles to express half sentences in some sort of English.

They keep on making a deal about this been the first PPV for GGG in the U.S. What about the international markets. I'm from Australia and I've been watching GGG's fights for over 2 years on PPV here.

not buying this mismatch........i think even the promoter knows its a mismatch which is why his standards are so low.

... And because of Lemieux they will also be selling PPVs in Canada, on the local HBO...
... As I am aware they disclose the PPV numbers in the U.S. only -- I think that they don't have control over the "international market"...

We now know what phony number -- 200,000 PPVs -- that Golovkin's promoter is going to feed Fat Dan Rafael after the fight so that Rafael can report the number and claim it came from his reliable sources.

Canelo Alvarez is 10x more popular than Golovkin and he could barely crack 200,000 on two different PPVs. I expect Golovkin/Lemieux to sell no more than 75,000 PPV buys and I am being generous with that number.

You're an idiot though, and your projections are always laughable. How many tickets you were saying they gonna sell?

I expect it to do better than Cotto/Martinez which was 300,000-315,000. I think alot of people passed on that fight because they didn't see Cotto having a good chance at winning after he already got beat by Trout, Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Margarito. Cotto/Martinez sold out MSG, but it was during the Puerto Rican parade weekend. Golovkin/Lemieux sold out even faster and is drawing all different types of fans from all over the country.

Cotto/Martinez sold out MSG at 21,090 and grossed a gate of $4.7mill. Golovkin/Lemieux has sold as many tickets, but even if we guess the ticket prices an overall 25% lower, that's a whopping $3.5mill gate (Ward/Dawson was $0.7 mill - **** off with 50/50 talk).

Don't feed the troll. He just wants attention because his parents won't give it to him.
