I'd also say 200k is a win, but I have to put into perspective that 200k is a W, no 24/7, I'm guessing the purses won't be ppv big so HBO will be making good on the return. I'm guessing these two split 5-5.5 million.

Not very much buzz for this event as a ppv. 200k isn't exactly amazing numbers no matter how u frame it. But it's about what I think it will do and that's probably what they will take if they can get it. But impressive? No.Comment

Considering the supposed most popular, best selling PPV attraction just did like 450,000 in his "retirement" fight, I'd say over 250,000 for a first timer would be pretty great.. The next 2 guys in Cotto and Canelo only do like 300-350 themselves and they have much larger fan bases... People don't want to pay for PPV anymore, it's pretty apparent, unless it's a mega event like May-Pac.. I think Canelo-Cotto will do almost 1 million though...Comment

200k isn't low standard. Its realistic. And if they double that number its a huge outcome for a 1st PPV fight.
I think with his popularity right now & Ward's lack of popularity after his lack of fighting over the last 4 years I think 50/50 makes sense & Ward does to last I heard. If Ward is cool with it no one else should have a problem. Once GGG gots some PPV buys & Ward is still a PPV ****** I think its fair to say GGG deserves more than 50/50.Comment

hes not a cash cow, someone like canelo is a new cash cow. anyways theyre being realistic which is nice. they know if they get 200k buys it will be more than profitable.Comment

The two main events are EASILY worth the price.Comment

Whatever you think GGG is doing, Ward is doing less is the bottom line. And GGG is was at least fighting painters on HBO while Ward is fighting painters on BET for 1/3 or 1/4 the viewers.Comment

I dont want to pay for it either. $60 for a fight I know GGG is going to knock this guy out in the first half. Id pay $20, thats about it. They need to make this crap more realistic. But at 1/3 of the cost they wouldnt get 3 times the buys so theyre banking on the most hardcore types to pay out the ass for this fight.Comment
