A lot of yall dudes is funny as hell with yall posts in here. I will say this business wise because of the purses 200K being a success is cool.

But all that trash yall talk about GGG being a star and his popularity is so much better than other fighters. 200K is a terrible number based off the trash his fans talk about his star power and popularity.

not really. cotto-martinez did around 300k and we all recognise cotto as one of the biggest stars of the sport, right? (and martinez was a bigger name than lemieux is). ward versus a fighter with a profile equivalent to lemieux's would never make it to ppv, and if it did it would probably score half of what ggg-lemieux will

golovkin is the most avoided fighter on the planet by virtue of tha fac tthat he was blatantly ducked by martinez, cotto, and soon to be alvarez, should he beat cotto.

coto and martinez are low level hall of famers. i wouldn't vote for mattinez myself, but cotto is a hall of famer on basically any ballot.
lara would be the best fighter on his resume by f***ing miles yet he and his team think monroe is a more worthy fighter. i won't even talk about ward cause we all know that story.

Lara would be a no hoper, Lemieux has more of a chance. Monroe is not more worthy, its just that fight was makable, and other no hoper isnt.

ggg-lemieux is on par with mayweather-berto......that's how much of a mismatch this is.......but mw is so crappy that this is actually a unification bout. no way is anybody who got ko'ed rubio better than lara.

Lara would be as big an underdog, except unlike Lemieux he doesn't even have a punchers chance. Fighters can improve, Stevenson and Badou Jack got losses worse than Rubio

ggg has a chin.....i have no doubt he can take his punches. lemieux can not take ggg's punches, anyone who follows the sport knows this. lara at least has the defensive skill and chin to withstand ggg's attack.

It's boxing, fights can turn on one punch. Lemieux has p4p power. Very unlikely, but Lara doesn't even have that chance. Better defense, sure, but he's not beating Ggg with defense. Better chin, not so sure, and he's smaller than Lemieux

lara has fought at 160 a total of zero times. martin murray could easily be the former MW champion of the world after his fight against martinez. if you think that lara is his best win, you are doing it wrong. if you think it's his best win by miles you're just f#cking ridiculous.

you guys just don't get boxing, and that's fine. weight classes matter. getting beat by alvarez matters. getting dropped twice by angulo matters. drawing with carlos molina matters. struggling with vanes matters.

it seems like a lot of you just listened to other people tout lara as the boogie man without actually thinking about who lara is, what he's done.

and of course, the same people who think lara is being ducked would call lara a nobody at MW [which he is,] and call him out for struggling with lesser and smaller fighters.

berto was at the end of his career and given a fight because of a relationship with al haymon, and to give mayweather an easy fight.

lemieux isn't a world beater, but he's ranked better at this point by a long shot than a totally done andre berto.

berto was knocked out by f#cking soto karass . dude was shot when floyd got to him. he beat josesito lopez to earn his shot. i love josesito lopez, but the dude is the definition of a gatekeeper, and he's been getting beat up for years. his best weights were also 140 and 135, and berto is a genuine welterweight.

a tthe very least, lemieux has the punchers chance to a degree that berto doesn't even approach. there's no comparing their power.
