  • What a dirty scumbag Ward and his team is, trying to fool the public and the fans and now it comes out that they sent the email after GGG's fight with Lemieux was already signed.

Do they think everyone in the sport is just ******ed? When i look into this forum and read stuff in this thread i am not so sure.

How pathetic is that guy and how disgusting are people defending such a fraud?

Fat Dan posted info on it on his daily blog but that was the last I heard. I did read an interview from Kathy Duva and that negotiations are going well for a poteinetal clash with Kovalev. But thats all I heard up until this point

So GGG's coach makes a statement benefiting his camp and you automatically take it as a fact......and you have the nerve to call other people in the forum a ******ed.

The unnecessary disrespect you have for Ward says all anyone needs to know about you.

        • Imagine if the Superbowl consisted of the best team vs the 10th best team and whenever the best team gets asked about why they never played the 2nd best team they just say "what has that team ever done to deserve playing us?" along with saying they offered to play them if all of their linemen come in 30 pounds lighter on game night, take it or leave it.

          Thats boxing.

          • ward caught lying again and his fans don't even care. this guy hasn't tried to fight anyone good in 4 years now. we know the guys he has tried to fight: truax, periban, sartison, paul smith, zac dunn. how can you be a fan of that? if he turns down this deal and kovalev are you still going to be a fan?

Clinching used to be part of boxing, but excessive hugging and holding, making it into a wrestling match, that used to be frowned upon.

How many legendary historic fights have been complete hold, hugging, holding the arms of your opponents, type of fights.

How many great battle have come from actually boxing, hitting, moving, slipping, counter punching, etc.

No one says you have to take punishment.

But that's far different than hugging all night.

Honestly, my reason for not wanting to see it yet is simple. If GGG fights Ward, the MW that stand in way of unification, lineal, breaking b-hops record, will use it as an excuse.

They'll say but he is beating a LHW. Blah, blah, blah.

There are many good fights out there.

Unless Ward keeps moving up after a move to LHW, maybe it happen.

But it doesn't make sense right now. GGG has been waiting years to get a shot at all the MW belts. He is finally there. He is finally getting big PPV fight.

Ward fights don't sell. He may be liked by some fans, those who don't mind the dirty tricks and holding, head butting garbage.

But if they both built their brand, and rule their division, in Wards case, doing it again. The fight may make sense in future. (Hell Ward wanted in 16 months down road. That's too far to sign a contract.

It's a risky fight for both of them.

Ward is much bigger than GGG, and longer. If GGG wins, it could cement a career. Even more so if he unifies MW, break b-hops record, beats Canelo, and then does well at SMW.

For Ward it's about money. He gets little for beating GGG now. He is supposed too, as the much larger fighter.

But it's risky for Ward because if he loses to the much smaller MW, well yea.
              Touche. Good points here.

I actually do not dislike Ward, but this obsession with GGG is borderline Pathetic.

Serious, I like GGG, but these Wards fans have turned me into a full time fan boy.

I like many think GGG has a lot to prove, but I want him to get his due, and benefit from what he has done.

Also, I do put a lot of stock into who has chosen not to fight him.

Ward is so much bigger than GGG, it is no wonder he has no problem chasing him, but when it comes to Kovalev, he has to pray on it.

Hunter recently said they want a few LHW tune ups before going ahead with that fight.

In all honestly, that is fair. Its more than his fans (all ten of them) seems to think GGG deserves.

GGG hasn't even cleaned out his division and has some big things he may be able to do.

How often does somebody become The Lineal MW Champ, and unify the division, while breaking B-hops record.

That is a much smarter move than fighting a guy who is much bigger and holds all night.

I mean Canelo is the next PPV star right, and GGG has him in his sight. Why take a fight with Ward, who no one likes, when you are gonna be mandatory to Canelo's soon to be won MW lineal title?

Well ward made the statement and the haters jumped on it. The thing is now on Ward to produce the email and prove they are lying.

CoWard is the one after all who made the claim in the first place.

GGG wasn't talking about Ward. They have big things. Ward needs the attention, not the other way around.
