I'm surprised so many people have a hard-on for Golovkin but it looks like they were waiting for this thread and flooded it with their posts.
I'm willing to bet most of the Golovkiphobes are American and would change their opinion in a minute if Golovkin were a Kazakhamerican.

Folks still talking about Ward hasn't done anything since 2011. Even if that was true is Ward still not the best fighter that GGG can fight? What happened to all that best should fight the best stuff yall always like to holler about?

Is that not also true for Ward fighting Kovalev? I would argue that this is the case even more so with Ward-Kovalev since Ward is closer to Light HW. Golovkin hasn't even fought at Super Middleweight. I really don't think it's fair that Golovkin should step up in weight, especially considering he hasn't even cleaned out the MW division yet. He's older than Ward and is at his natural weight at MW. Ward is comfortable at Super MW to Light HW. I don't understand the logic that says Golovkin should have to move up to SMW to fight Ward but Ward shouldn't go up to Light HW to fight Kovalev.

now fast-forward to after GGG announces a unification with Lemieux, and the Cotto-Canelo winner mandated to fight him next or vacate the WBC title. Now here comes Ward sending emails saying "lets agree to 50-50 right now for a fight that is at least 18 months away". What kind of moron would treat that as a serious offer?

Actually it's incomplete and inaccurate. Ward wasn't fighting anybody at all during his legal issues. But biased Golovkin cheerleaders like you pretend that Ward was available to fight during that time. A fight with Ward is not and should not be "18 months away." The only thing moronic is your thought process . Golovkin is already 33 years old and Ward will be fighting at 175 by that time.

Golovkin had zero chance of fighting Mayweather at 154 and the he's not getting Cotto either. "Froch and Chavez jr at 168 but Ward at 164." Yet your minor league ass gets offended if anyone questions Golovkin's desire to fight Ward LOL. Just admit that you don't want the fight for obvious reasons.

there is absolutely no question people give ggg the benefit of the doubt on these things. ggg sure didnt have a problem calling out little mayweather its just crazy who cares if he cleans out the division are u sitting at the edge of ur seat for the andy lee ggg matchup? **** no and this talk that ward ggg would not be a gigantic money maker is also ridiculous fight would be huge

You're delusional. 300k tuned in for Wards long awaited comeback on basic cable. If it's gigantic, its cause Ggg has become a superstar, and he's not there yet. But Ward is not getting 50/50 of any megafight lol

Fight has to happen. It will get bigger and bigger and both camps will be forced to do something. The Lemieux fight is just a week away. If GGG wins, the name Ward will come up in the post-fight interview and presscon.
