The cab that Ward called seems to be out of service.....

Yeah. He sent his offer by email when he knew GG team is already deep into promoting his fight with the Canadian guy. Tell Ward to go fishing and do a lot of thinking on what he wants to do with his career. Right now he doesn't seem to know what he wants.

      • CoWard is a pretty good talker and all

But that chopping right hand look kind of sick. I wonder if he is gonna try to stay in the conversation by simple always mentioning GGG. LOL!

Ward is in denial about how much he is liked.

Ward drop the SOG son of God sht. Sht boring you're boring (God forgive me but) fckin fire your pr guy start over.
I get that you're only a 15 year old boy and don't know any better, but if you don't appreciate Andre Ward and you think he's boring, etc., then you just don't appreciate the sweet science. It really is as simple as that. You might like watching people take punishment, but you don't care for the art that is great boxing.

          P.S. - Ward whips Borat's ass easily.

P.S.S. - You are right about his P.R. team; Ward is the one of the most mismanaged athletes in sports.

It's one thing to fight a smaller guy from a division below who is a great and accomplished champion, but to want to fight a mere Title holder? Why is the P4P # 2 best fighter Andre Ward not showing this same enthusiasm when it comes to Kovalev? That's three title for him to win, and become a 2-division champion. What does the P4P # 2 best fighter stand to gain by beating a 160 pound Paper Champ?

See the focus should not be on GGG. Golovkin is and has been an active Middleweight, and is now trying to put the finishing touches to his Middleweight run by unifying all the belts. The focus should be on Andre Ward who already conquered the 168 pound division and has more than likely outgrown it physically. Why is he still sniffing around for money fights at 168? MOVE UP, take a risk and challenge yourself.

Ward just signed a 3 fight deal with HBO ..He better fight Kovalev or at least Stevenson for his title .And your right Ward has less to gain from beating a MW right now but if he happened to move to his weight class why not ? The same with Ward of he is making the jump,to lhw why not Kovalev or Stevenson..

            • I'm still searching for a legitimate reason why any so called hardcore fight fan isn't salivating for Ward-GGG.

Lame, the sweet science of stick and move, and many other ways of fighting is fine.

The sweet science of hugging for 12 rounds while occasionally throwing a punch, there is nothing there to like.

Clinching used to be part of boxing, but excessive hugging and holding, making it into a wrestling match, that used to be frowned upon.

How many legendary historic fights have been complete hold, hugging, holding the arms of your opponents, type of fights.

How many great battle have come from actually boxing, hitting, moving, slipping, counter punching, etc.

No one says you have to take punishment.

But that's far different than hugging all night.

Honestly, my reason for not wanting to see it yet is simple. If GGG fights Ward, the MW that stand in way of unification, lineal, breaking b-hops record, will use it as an excuse.

They'll say but he is beating a LHW. Blah, blah, blah.

There are many good fights out there.

Unless Ward keeps moving up after a move to LHW, maybe it happen.

But it doesn't make sense right now. GGG has been waiting years to get a shot at all the MW belts. He is finally there. He is finally getting big PPV fight.

Ward fights don't sell. He may be liked by some fans, those who don't mind the dirty tricks and holding, head butting garbage.

But if they both built their brand, and rule their division, in Wards case, doing it again. The fight may make sense in future. (Hell Ward wanted in 16 months down road. That's too far to sign a contract.

It's a risky fight for both of them.

Ward is much bigger than GGG, and longer. If GGG wins, it could cement a career. Even more so if he unifies MW, break b-hops record, beats Canelo, and then does well at SMW.

For Ward it's about money. He gets little for beating GGG now. He is supposed too, as the much larger fighter.

But it's risky for Ward because if he loses to the much smaller MW, well yea.

                • GGG's Coach: Liar Ward Needs To Become Relevant Again

Ward became relevant when he announced his comeback.

If Ward is not relevant, why did you guys offer him a catchweight of 164 ?

So far as I know, Ward hasn't signed for that deal. I haven't seen it announced anywhere.

The catchweight was because they DIDN'T think Ward was relevant. Not yet, anyway.
