Andre Ward is on verge to enter maybe top 20 with another fight but what weighs on him making top 10 is him fighting someone like DeGale or maybe... pfft its hard to say the 168 division is dead.
Its either get a big fight with GGG at catchweight or wait for Golovkin to throw you a bone or go to 175lbs for him to make any real statement for top 3.

I think most people are hesitant to rank him #1 because they just found out about him through HBO and have no idea about his comp because they are lower weight and not local. He has been respected by many, take cliff for example, for a while.

I don't think he should be #1 but not because he lacks a great win, just that IMO wlad deserves it.

If you are rating Ward #1 P4P then you don't understand the P4P list. The list is who currently is the P4P best boxer and with his inactivity and lack of good opponents in the activity he has had does NOT make him one of the current bests. 5+ years ago you could argue for him to be up there but he's done nothing to maintain that rating.

Perfect and factual definition of a P4P ranking is based on who you think would win a matchup if all fighters were in the same weight class.

Ah I agree that he shouldn't have to redo his whole resume but he should have to at least prove that he's fighting at the level he was before. Fighting Paul Smith didn't do it for me personally, so I wouldn't put him as number 2 right now but give him one good win and I might be willing to place him that high.
