Lol I don't understand what people are watching sometimes. Some idiot on here actually said Estrada won 10-2. It was a good fight but roman clearly won. If I was being generous Estrada won 5 rounds.

The backlash was too much and they reverted to the old panel.....which is full of hipster boxing writers.....I mean, I like Dougie but the man is one of the most hipsterish when it comes to pushing the lower weightclasses.

          # of women minimumwieghts
          112

          #of men minimumweights
          263

          roughly 2-1 ratio

          #of men lightweights
1800(i think thats the maximum that the boxrec search engine can find, so probably more)

          #of men minimumweights
          263

          roughly 7-1 ratio

          talent pool is shallow.....end of.
Come on bro. You sound like a smart guy. You know damn well any lightweight below 200 has no meaning to who is the best pound for pound fighter. Unless he's a prospect or some ****.

He's not the clear cut p4p #1 but I'm thinking the panel all had different choices for who was p4p #1 and Roman got enough safe top 3 spots that he scored the highest. That's how Ring operates right?

Of course it's boxing so it could be more nefarious but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Evne though I really shouldn't (Ward).

it's basic probability...........the smaller the talent pool the easier it is to rise to the top...for example look at the best southpaw in the minimumweight division or light flyweight....journeymen....you can be at the world stage without ever having fought a competent southpaw..the bigger the talent pool the better chance there's a good southpaw in that weightclass........this is just an example of how the small talent pool lowers the level of opposition...

The guys at higher wightclasses can actually make a living off boxing, dedicate to their craft and train......how burn out do you think the tough thai guys at the lower weights are before they can even train? like i said, they're probably full time fishermen with over 50 muay thai fights on their body by the time they start boxing......the lower weightclasses are just shallow on opposition, you just can't deny that.....and if you do, you're deluded.

And with day before weigh ins, moving up in the lower weightclasses that are only separated by 3-4 pounds is easier than ever.

I've already said Roman has separated himself from the pack, and Estrada has too(after their fight). If they fought each other now, the winner would have a true p4p type win(Estarda is the one that arguably has that already, when he beat Viloria)......Roman doesnt deserve p4p #1 under any criteria.

How did you like that p4p great battle between Yamanaka and Mares' leftovers? they sure looked like p4pers right?

You're just throwing around bull**** statistics that mean nothing. Terrence Crawford mad e it to the world stage without ever facing a competent southpaw. How about Golovkin and Kovalev?? Monroe and Caparello? LOL

You have to evaluate each particular fighter on a case by case basis.

I'm talking about talent pool, it was just an example, and youre just prving my point for me:

                      Top middlewight southpaws

Andy Lee(who GGG wouldve faced if not for the death of his dad btw)
                      Willie Monroe
                      Billy Joe Saunders
                      Korobov
                      Heiland

Full time fighters who have all been hyped prospects and some with extensive amateur backgrounds.

                      Top flyweight southpaws

                      Full time filipino construction workers.....

                      keep denying the truth.
