I don't quite get the Wilder hate from this fight, his offense looked pretty diverse and Wilder took the shots that landed from the Frenchman well.
Povetkin has to cover a lot of distance through incoming fire to do work. That is still a huge problem for him. Wlad being almost the same size doesn't have the same issues but that fight still is probably a year off, and time is on Wilder's side.

Wilder just went life and death with a guy who could hardly throw 15 punches a round...Very game, and very nice cutting the angles off until D started to chase a puncher. Thats the mistake the Frenchman made and he paid for it...he could have stopped Wilder because up until he slacked off Wilder looked done. He gave Wilder a second wind and came straight into him...I don't see Wilder going very far when he steps up.
Great heart and good stoppage, could have even been a bit earlier for my tastes.
