Why are people pretending Ward hasn't proved himself as one of the truly elite fighters in the sport? The only reason he was taken from the 2-3 spot was inactivity. Now that he returned, he's back where he was before. It makes sense.

There are not more than 3-4 fighters, at most, better than Andre Ward. He just needed to fight again. He did. He'll most certainly fight again before the year is out.

      New P4P list:

      1. Gonzales

      2. Ward

      3. Kovalev

      4. Golovkin

      5. Rigondeaux

      6. Klitschko

      7. Crawford

      8. Pacquiao

      9. Yamanaka

      10. Brook

      This list sucks.

Brook shouldn't be on it, Crawford too high, Klitschko too low, Ward shouldn't be on it right now. Pacquiao a bit low but that's not as bad the other things I've pointed out.

With Mayweather's retirement, Pac arguably is number 1. The Ring is crazy to have him so low.

So by your criteria, Ward could have gotten in the ring for a sparring session and gotten back on the P4P list. OK, so you have very low standards. Mine tend to be considerably higher and you actually have to fight contenders on a regular basis to be on a P4P list, or to be ranked in the top 10.

Tell me why Ward is not a top 10 ranked SMW by RING if he is on the P4P list?

He either has to be off the list completely due to inactivity (like he is on mine) or, if you are just looking at who you think are the best fighters in the world, very high up.

I dont have a problem with him being no.2 on someone elses list.

                  My top 5 P4P list:

                  1. Klitschko
                  2. Kovalev
                  3. Golovkin
                  4. Gonzalez
                  5. Pacquaio

I will have to give the bottom 5 some more thought but neither Rigo - not enough fights, or Ward - not enough activity over the past close to 4 years, will be on it.

I would put everyone on your list on the top 10 before I would put Ward.

He certainly has the talent to be #1 but he hasn't done anything. We need to stop giving away freebies like this.
