Golovkin's made it clear that he's not fighting Ward anytime soon. The question now is what is Ward going to do? He has no viable options at 168. Everybody is either PBC or in Europe.
    • Continue taking ****ty tune-up fights in obscurity and continue to call out a MW?
    • Start taking real fights against LHW's? Pascal is available now. HBO suggested Yuneski Gonzalez for the Canelo/Cotto undercard (Ward obviously wants Zac Dunne type)

Personally I can't wait for Golovkin to finish his business at MW so he can in fact get in the ring with Ward. Ward should be careful what he wishes for because sooner or later he will get it. It has been almost 3 yrs since this guy had a meaningful fight, his holding and running even with his size and skill, probably won't help him. Can't wait for when it does finally happen.

You guys are so obsessed with getting Ward fights, but how come you guys don't put any pressure on the other fighters in Ward's own weight class?
It has to be GGG this, GGG that. It's pathetic.
Plus, if GGG is such a bum, then why do you guys want Ward or any other 168 lber to face such bum?

GGG can do whatever he wants. He doesn't have to listen to the haters. I know many want the GGG fight so they can revive Ward's career. Well, GGG doesn't have to do **** for anybody else! I know it burns and it'll keep on burning.

GGG and team shouldn't reply they're just going to give this guy more publicity.
Ward doesn't even want to take an opportunity he is being given on the undercard of Cotto/Canelo. It's doesn't matter to me, we'll get MIURA VS VARGAS instead, which will be an awesome fight! HBO will have enough money left, since they won't have to pay Ward 2+ million, to get two more awesome fights as well. I ain't complaining!!
fine! fine all through your comment...JUST FINE!...i give up..as a boxing fan i'd never thought i'd see the day where ppl make every lil comment in the book to negate a p4p champ vs another p4p champ that are one division away...

i'm fine with with cleaning out divisions...but u can skip out one fight to have a p4p vs p4p match up right?
he planned on going back to the division when he was willing to fight froch and others at 160...he knows it wont bother him...

i dont favor either guy neither is a favorite fighter, but damn its a hell of a match but 70% of this board, including you, are *****footing around it

I love to hear Ward fans tell me about the LHW tuneups he would need before he fights Kovalev, then not miss a breath before telling me how GGG should immediately move up and fight Ward. In the meantime GGG has a PPV unification bout and winner of Cotto/Canelo lined up. Ward has ^^crickets^^.

the fact is that he can deal with ward inbetween the business if he wanted to...thats my only problem with GGG and the fans that tell him to hold off..

if he was going to fight froch 168 and move back to 160 then that tel me he knows he wont be effected by dropping the extra 8lbs off
even drained he beats everyone at mw imo..but he wouldnt be drained he's not big

No no no no Andre, we aren't buying it, GGG said maybe in 2017 clearly for the reason that the priority is unifying the titles at 160, you are a light heavyweight go fight Kovalev you b****. Stop picking fights with guys in lower weight divisions. It was never Golovkin's intention to go to 168, it was only due to a lack of opportunities at 160. Ward is delusional.

ward took a tune up bc he's been out of the ring for basicaly 3 years now imho...
i was hoping his next fight would be ggg at 168...and if ggg wins he goes back and cleans mw like he said i guess
and if ward wins next year i would be expecting kovalev, degale, stevenson...at east 2 of the 3...
