Who is your boy Ward fighting next btw? DeGale sounds like a good matchup doesnt it?
I really do like the sound of Ward / DeGale right now. Idk if Ward is in a rush to fight a live body though or if Degale has other plans, but that would be a good fight right now.

Unless Ward was talking about a fight mid to late 2016 though it doesn't sound like it because he is suggesting that it was going to be a next move for him.

So ultimately I don't buy this act from Ward either - if you make an offer to a fighter who already has made it clear what their next move is and expect anything other than getting your offer turned down than you are trippin. Not to say that GGG or his team aren't afraid of that fight, beccause they probably are.

EDIT: I'm only 3 minutes into the video right now, so maybe he clarifies something I haven't heard yet.
Well Golovkin had no opponent and there was no indication that Lemiuex was going to take the fight when the offer was made.

Not even a Ward fan but looks like he'll be fighting on the Canelo-Cotto card which will be good exposure for him.

What is the relevance anyway? If Ward is struggling to make weight, that just makes Golovkin look like an even bigger b1tch for trying to boil him down to 164
Should have, could have, would have. You're speculating and trying to pass it off as fact. All we know is that Ward last fought 12lbs above GGG. If he gets back down to 168lbs then the discussion will be relevant.

Either way, it makes little sense for GGG to fight Ward right now. Canelo, Cotto and Lee are possible money fights. In an ideal world, GGG clears out 160lbs, as Ward did with 168lbs a few years ago, then moves up. If in the meanwhile Ward unifies 168lbs, then the fight would be even bigger and make it more likely to happen.

          • It's obvious they just don't want the fight. "We're focused on unification, but we'll fight Froch and Chavez @ 168, Ward has to be 164 and Floyd only @ 154".

Speculating? So you don't think a man who was 174 two and half weeks before a fight could have made 168?

Ward had been off for a long time so they made the fight at 172 just to ease him back down. It wasn't a championship fight so there was no need to push himself to make 168.

And once again, if we accept this idea that Ward is struggling to make 168....how much of a puussy does that make GGG look for suggesting 164?

Yes, GGG clearly doesnt want to fight Ward now. But my problem are Ward's comments and Ward's fans, they like to talk **** about GGG, while their idol is fighting bums for the last 3 years, he cleared 168 and now Andre is in probably one of the most weak divisions in boxing and he is waiting for GGG, who himself has to do some work at mw.

If GGG beats Lemieux and Cotto or Canelo, I wanna see him at 168 against Ward, no question about it. Ward knows that GGG has some options and he is wasting his time waiting for him. Stevenson and Kovalev are really big fights but I think Ward is scared...

Take your pick. Legacy or money.

It's funny before when ya was mostly all ****tin on Cotto for saying that GGG doesn't sell tickets etc...
to turn around and use that same like about Ward.

But Cotto is a "coward" & GGG isn't

                  bunch of hypocrites.
So many flaws and immature generalizations spewing. If you do not understand my post then why do you even answer? Read it again, try to grasp it, if not ask someone around you who might explain it to you. Let it sink in and then you will realize that you made a fool out of yourself.

I am not "ya all", but it seems like you can only differentiate between black and white, between A and B and there's (sadly) nothing in between for you, so its probably a waste of time to even respond to you. My bad.

Lol what are you talkin about bro? He already knew Lemieux was official by the time that Ward is suggesting that he made the offer.

In the video, Ward says he made the offer to GGG about a month ago. That was give or take August 12. EDIT: I assume this video was post Mayweather/Berto

Ward says the offer was made before the Lemiuex fight was even being negotiated.
