I swear some of the people on this site... How can you hate a guy like Ward? I mean really? Paul Smith, has first fight in two years, is the only guy in like 5-7 years who was not ranked at least top 5 at SMW (I don't count the weight drained zombie that was Bad Chad).

As far as the fight won't sell, no fight gets ANYONE talking more than this fight, including Cotto - Canelo (this is the reaction where I am, if that is different for your area, oh well). This fight COULD be massive. It fits the Great White Hype (or Hope, whichever movie you prefer) narrative perfectly.

And I believe that most boxing fans would love to see Ward fight both ggg and KOVALEV. I think ggg is a great fighter, but if you want to down Ward to elevate ggg, that must be done in the ring.

this fight will sell better anyway after GGG gets more exposure in his next fight. i dont think GGG and Ward are such household names that the general public is demanding to see the fight. If he can get past David and then the winner of Cotto-Canelo, then that perfectly sets up a mega fight.

ward is a great boxer, not as great a business man.

A MEGA FIGHT requires TWO MEGA FIGHTERS. Ward has a long way to go before he qualifies. He needs to get a few top contenders under his belt before he deserves a shot at GGG. No one cares about watching a Ward fight right now.
