Posters like you are very confusing. You argue belts are worthless than you say you want LilG to unify the MW division. That comes off as deflection of the highest order.

Can you understand why some posters see this and think you and others that post these things are afraid of GGG fighting Ward and instead want him to pursue belts that you find worthless?

When a fighter calls someone out, don't they typically move to that fighter's weight? Serious question. It's rare to see a fighter call out a guy and expect him to come to his weight....

Chad called out Ward and went to his weight. Stephenson called out Ward and was willing to go to his weight AND his hometown.

Even Abel said they would go to Floyds weight at 154.

Ward is wrong and using Gennady's name. At least take a catch weight...Ward thinks he's a draw.

I agree, I want both. And it's logical for Ward. But it's logical for G to take Canelo/ Cotto first for the same reasons.

Ive already said i have no issue with this fight next year after both have established themselves. Ward is returning and GGG finally taking stiffer comp. Next year im happy but some GGG fans just dont want it....PERIOD!!!

          Why? IDK

Yes which makes it weird that Golovkin's team used Ward's name two years ago but are unwilling to come to his weight. Even though they said they'd beat everyone from 54-68

GGG has bigger & better fights right now, than Andre "BET" Ward. Andre didn't tell of the specifics of his offer, which no doubt dictated that the fight would have to take place in Oakland, his home town. Ward is riding on the fumes of his early career & somehow thinks that translates to him being a superstar. He's had 2 fights in the last nearly 2 years, against bums. He last big win came 3 years ago, against the now utterly washed up Chad Dawson, which suggests he was already on the decline. Before that, Andre defeated Carl Froch, nearly 4 years ago! Ward has a lot to prove today, and needs to stop acting like he's the man, when he is currently yesterday's news.

Comments Thread For: Andre Ward on 'Little G' Golovkin: Fans Were Hoodwinked

Super middleweight champion Andre Ward (28-0, 15KOs) says the fans were hoodwinked by Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) and his team, promoter Tom Loeffler and trainer Abel Sanchez.

A few weeks ago, Loeffler denied that there were ever negotiations for a possible fight between the two sides. Ward claims a formal 50-50 offer was made, and he has proof by way of email, and says the offer was rejected in five minutes and he was told that 'maybe in 2017' the fight can happen.
